Very loud, people can hear it (unless they are completely turned off). I used to have one of those single handle spring loaded bells and the spring keeps falling out of position and the metal sticks to the plastic which muffles the sound. This bell chimes pretty loud and I've never had a problem with the plastic parts muffling the sound. I just want people to step aside when they hear this lol

This is a quality wind chime with a loud, clear sound at a great price; but pedestrians don't seem to recognize the sound as "I'm passing, please step aside" and either don't react at all, or become confused and behave erratically, or take an interest in my path. Maybe I need a sharper "bike" reputation. I bought this to replace one that worked better on humans but didn't last long. I wish I could rate them higher but they don't seem to be working as intended.

I love this product! Super easy to assemble and very attractive. hard metal; no plastic. The metal looks like a high quality brass and aluminum alloy. I particularly liked that this product came with two sizes or grommets, which took the guesswork (or measurement) out of determining my handlebar size. And the rubber grommets are grooved to fit the mounting rings precisely and tightly. I also like the design as it works equally well on the left and right side and is easy to use with your thumb.
