Do not buy. First, the tape is a good idea, but it doesn't come out straight. It comes out about 10 degrees out of plane - I don't know why. The batteries were dead when it arrived. After replacement, the laser can no longer be adjusted to display both lines at high power even at a 90 degree angle. Also, the product is cheap, but for less than $10 I think that's to be expected. And for the same reason, I don't waste time returning it to the UPS store.

It's true you get what you pay for. First, it came with no instructions, and all the instructions on the box are completely garbled and misspelled. There seems to be a slight crease (looks like an unintended crease near the tape measure hole) that prevents my tape measure from holding, which is uncomfortable. In view of the price, I give it 2 stars instead of 1. I'd rather pay a few euros more for a better product.

The level came with batteries and a battery activation slide. However, when I did this, the laser didn't work. The batteries weren't in the right place and were dead. Looks like whoever put the batteries in there put one of them the wrong way. This must have shorted out the batteries. I replaced the batteries with new ones and they work perfectly. When I removed the battery cover, I noticed that whoever put the batteries in originally put them in the wrong way round. When you look at them, the flat side should be to the right of the feather and the round side should be facing the feather. Left. All batteries point in the same direction. The switch to change from horizontal to vertical to crossing lines was so tight I had to use a screwdriver to move it and I thought it was going to break. THEN move freely.
