🚧 Munchkin Wooden and Steel Baby Gate Extender, 11-inches Review

I bought this because I bought an earlier version a few years ago. I liked the black color better than the silver one, the quality is a bit worse, the quick release buttons were also much better in the previous version. Overall it's still better than most I find on the market so I'm still giving it a 4.

Have used several different gates and liked these. I ended up buying another one. I've had the original for about two years and use it almost every day. It is in very good condition and still looks good. The gate is really safe and secure. Easy to open and close and locks securely in place. I have used many other gates and they were flimsy and cheap compared to this one. Costs money

I bought this in May and so far it has stayed in the box as I didn't need it as I was unemployed during Covid. Didn't have to lock down half the house for my dogs, I just opened it up It's broken as you can see, the tags/tethers are still on. I'm looking to return it but there are no returns. So if you buy this item, check it out right away because you may not return it. Too bad because it was 64.00!

I have a modern automatic closing gate (see attached image) very similar to the gate shown for this extension (wood & steel). The item arrived in good condition with all the details and I'm sure it would work great on the right gate. However, it's hard to tell which extensions go with which style unless you read and understand the product details below. The listing sounds like it fits multiple gate styles. The customer should be clarified whether he is purchasing the correct extension(s).

The top pegs popped out easily but the bottom pegs were so tight I couldn't remove them without damaging the plastic and judging by the reviews I'm not that Only one who has experienced this. We used this to block the door in our front windows because dogs spend hours there barking at everything from leaves to ghosts, joggers, pedestrians, cyclists and so on. The wood blends almost perfectly with the cabinets it's next to and looks so good! Durability, style and instructions are great. However, Munchkin needs to take a look at their manufacturing and design processes. Their manufacturing process leaves burrs on the inside of baby gates. Because of this, it is extremely difficult to remove the bottom plugs without damaging them. I had to ask a friend to stand on the gate while I unplugged it with a couple of padlocks.
