The product itself worked great once installed. Getting it to work isn't that great. I would return it but someone scheduled the install and I didn't know it wouldn't work until they tried to install it here. The hole the pin had to go through at the top was too small. I suspect the paint is too thick. The hole had to be made bigger to cross my fingers so it doesn't get damaged when I try this. First of all, creating a hidden bookshelf door is no newbie. The company provides some basic instructions, but you may want to plan to customize them based on your wall, opening size, flush mount depth, trim design, etc. However, I had a semi-flush bookcase (okay, pool cue and reducer) assembled and installed in one day.
