Bought this V90-LPS and tried it against Emotiva Audio.

Bought this V90 LPS and tried it with an Emotiva Audio XPS-1 phono stage. The V90-LPS sounded more open and airy. Both preamps are well made. I decided to keep this amp.

Happy Happy Happy on Home Audio

Sounds great. I recently bought a "budget" tube amp and after reading countless reviews of available tube preamps I decided on this one based on the good reviews and confidence in the Musical Fidelity name and I am not disappointed in any way. Soft, quiet and transparent. Love it and would recommend it to anyone who has 3k or so for a full vinyl setup, not 3k just for a phono stage.

Like the best Kobe steak in a home theater

Imagine you order a 48 ounce Kobe steak for $25. Then have a bite. The taste is very good, especially for the price. While you are having lunch, time is running out. Then, over time, you realize that the $175 Kobe steak you paid $25 for is now melting in your mouth. That describes the Music Fidelity V90-LPS in my opinion. It made my Vintage Dual 5000 sound wonderful. I have a Pioneer Elite SC-67. Its phono stage is not up to any reasonable standard. This little amp fixed it! Buy and enjoy!

Very accurate, essential upgrade for Denon MC cartridge

After reading enough good reviews, I replaced my standard Ortofon Red cartridge with a Denon c103 Mc as part of the Carbon project. To achieve this I had to upgrade the phono stage. Later, in many articles/reviews, the tag "exactly" was generic to this preamp. This +c103 preamp delivers amazing sound on McCormick DNA and Martin Logan Mosiac speakers. Very happy with everything about it. I find the bass to be particularly precise, which is important to me.

As? That's all?

I heard in a review or two that the V90's imaging and dynamics were superb and performed well above its price point so I decided to give it a try although my current phono preamp is quite satisfactory was and did not fall asleep. I can only say WOW! Everything you hear about this product is true: the air, the soundstage are incredible at this price point, and the speed and dynamics. Bass was allowed but was a little quieter when the music got heavier, but that was fixed to improve powerโ€ฆ

I really like analog playback

I really like analog playback and spend a lot of time listening to vinyl. I actually have two analogue systems. Both use tube amps. (everyone has a Mac MC225). My reference system has a Mac C-11 preamp, which is considered by many to be one of the best for LP playback. I needed another preamp for my secondary system as the one I was using was marginal in the phono section. Discover the Musical Fidelity V90-LPS.
