Good size for a direct drive extruder

I used this stepper in combination with a BMG extruder to convert my Ender 5 to direct drive. Works great with bmg (3:1 gear ratio) but can't say for sure how it will perform with a 1:1 setup torque wise. Price and size are perfect.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Jump and jump, my experience, nogo!

Item arrived with scuffs and scratches on the surfaces. Tried to use with 3 different extruders - to no avail. This stepper just wants to jump, jump, jump. I have a second star because the size is rare and fits my size requirements.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

Question the current rating

I was running it at 960mA with a TMC2209 on my Bondtech direct drive and it got very hot. This is said to be good for 1.2A. I ended up getting it down to 750mA which seems like a good temp. Regardless of the rating, it works fine for me. No skipped steps and high torque.

Pros
  • Absolutely Awesome!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
