Not durable for training and behavioral support

My dog's leash wrapped around the leg of the picnic table and he ran to greet another dog and the collar broke off the leash. He's a springer spaniel, under 40 pounds.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Minor issues

Goes on the leash

78 lbs Labrador 9 months loves to play tug of war on a leash. Usually it can wear down the leash in a couple of weeks but I haven't noticed any damage yet. Sturdy yet lightweight for my large dog. I hope this leash will last a long time.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I have no negative feelings about this, everything is fine

Working on RECALL: Training and Behavior Guides

We have an 8 month old Golden Retriever who does not like coming when called. We were traveling this summer and wished she had more freedom in the parks etc but also didn't trust her to come when called (especially when crossing a deer trail). We were able to let them run around in it (works great with a top/back attached halter. If you attach it to the collar or front it can get tangled in the dog's paws). It has served its purpose and we will continue to use it for training. Just make sure it

Great long leash for training

I am a professional dog trainer and I love this leash for getting started with leashed puppies. It's lightweight, excellent at hauling elements, and easy to fold up when you're done. This is a great tool for adding distance during puppy training as most leashes only give about 6 feet with no pressure. Other than that, this is NOT a leash. The clasp is exceptionally light (as other reviewers have noted) and the material is uncomfortable to hold due to its shape/texture. I mainly use this as a…

GOOD CLOSURE - Thin rope

The quality of this leash is not up to standard. We ordered two leashes after the first two had unusually long delivery times from Revain. We needed linen so I ordered them extra. Upon arrival, I noticed that the rope was thin in diameter. On the first day, the rubber seal came loose and protected the place where the loop was sewn. Today the cheap clasp broke. My dog weighs 60 kilos. Ironically the long lines (top line in the photo) arrived today and all I can say is WOW. The rope is 1/2 inch…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons

READ BEFORE BUYING! Especially for Large Dog Owners

Photos and product names can be misleading. The leash is very thin and cheap. The handle is just a line wrapped around itself and badly sewn on, then a thin rubber sheath is pulled over it. As soon as I opened it I could tell that this product is of poor quality. My dog is 85 pounds and will likely tear the stitching on the handle easily. Another thing to look out for is the quality and size of the clip. It's small, cheap, and probably made to save money. The spring is weak, which does not…

Weak Clasp Suitable for Dogs

A few days after receiving this leash, my 60 pound dog tore the clasp off the end after jumping just two or three feet slack in the rope when it was bound. The 8mm rope is pretty strong, but the flimsy aluminum clasp doesn't do the job. Rather than sending the leash back I fitted a strong stainless steel lobster clasp and now I'm confident it will hold my dog up. I don't think the error was due to a faulty clasp, rather the button on the end of the part that attaches to the dog went through the

AHH my hands good for training and behavioral aids

If you are looking at this you are probably training your dog and not in full control. Don't expect to restrain your dog with this. Impossible to hold on to. Someone unleashed their dog in the park, ran up to us, and kicked my jetdog in a running fight. This leash will burn your hands when you try to hold the dog, it's impossible. The grip itself wasn't very forgiving and hurt my wrist. I am a 200 lb male and had to pull the leash handle all the way to keep from losing my dog. And it hurt. With
