Did not live up to expectations

Was hoping for a 1-2mpg improvement. The performance increase was not what I was looking for. My MPG stayed the same. FYI, we log all refuelings in a spreadsheet that calculates MPG. Basically wasted my $.

I installed this on my 1998 after replacing the pin connector.

I fitted this to my 1998 after changing the pin connector that connects to the MAF or MAS and oh my god what a difference in the car's characteristics. The transmission now shifts more easily and less jerkily from upshifting to driving. Fuel economy increased by about 1-2 mpg. also installed in an hour.

Perfect for the air intake

Just install it in my 2003 Tacoma and enjoy! and how smoothly it slid under the hood as if K&N had built it specifically for my application. The K&N intake, the Magna Flow exhaust sounds great and puts horsepower to the wheels straight away.

So I can't comment on the installation but it's a beautifully made device that fits and works perfectly.

Bought for my 99 4Runner and my mechanic installed it. So I can't comment on the installation but it's a beautifully made piece of hardware that fits perfectly and works great. Definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone looking to improve the looks and performance under the hood.

the application was for a 99 Toyota Tacoma V6; The mileage hasn't changed one bit (it's held steady at 19.7mpg - combined city/highway - since new, pre-135k with or without the K&N). The biggest disappointment was the supposed "10% increase in performance". Unlike mileage, I have no way of measuring the horsepower gain other than to say that it feels completely different than it used to. The only difference from my truck is the sound of the air intake.
