Latch and handles have a lot of play

The latch looks nice but I had to add some padding to provide some cushioning and make the latch more solid when the gate is closed or it would the wind is rattling like crazy. The handles also have play. Seems well built but with more play than needed.

  • Hardware

Sloppy Mechanism: Latch

Stamped metal and sloppy rivets. The mechanism turns out to be ridiculously sloppy, so much so that I won't install it. Because everything is riveted together there's no way to take it apart and try to improve it, and for the price I don't have to. I like the concept, but the execution is not good enough. Let's get back to Amazon.

Very satisfied - Latch

Easy to install. Reliable (I bet it will outlive me). Works great: click closes like silk charms when the door is closed. To secure the shed, I put a combination lock in the holes to the left of the handle. I like that it's stainless steel and doesn't rust. Last amazing touch to my newly renovated and painted tool shed. Thank you for this well made product!
