2020 Ford Lincoln A11 Navigation SD Card: Latest USA & Canada Update, GM5T-19H449-AE Review

I installed this on my 2013 Ford Fusion and it didn't recognize the SD card. The ad says it fits my make and model year, unfortunately that's not true. So I will return.

There are many reviews of this card chip. I installed it on my 2015 Ford Edge Titanium and it works perfectly. I'd like to add that I've done all the updates to my sync system so I probably haven't encountered any issues. I definitely recommend updating your system before using map update.

Bought this to update the map in my 2013 Ford Edge. I had to search the internet for installation instructions and it took a while but it works great. That being said, the first one I received was defective and didn't work at all. A refund was started and the seller sent the second card very quickly. Be aware that if this doesn't work, you may have to go back to another one.

My 2014 Ford Fusion had not updated the navigation SD card. I was on a trip and needed information about new roads in the area. I chose this SD card because of the price difference compared to the retailer. I removed the old card and installed the new one (10 second job) and everything worked great! Appearance is identical to the SD card sold by Ford dealers for almost twice the price. This is the annual map update for specific Ford vehicles for 2020. The vehicle's owner's manual will show where the old SD card needs to be replaced, most likely in the console between the driver and passenger seats. Takes seconds with no tools or training.

Ordered this card to replace an A8 card which was also cheap. I suspect this is a duplicate of a real card and not a real Ford card. Ford packaging was not included. Like the a8 card, I put it in the card reader and made a backup image in case the SD card died prematurely and also scanned it for viruses (it was clean). Either way, it's better than paying Ford's insanely high fees.

It was worth it. Now I can see hidden roads, now I have color even where it wasn't on the map when it splits into a real road compared to the map. Another feature I like about this update is the ease of starting a trip after entering an address. Much easier to start and stop recommendations. Another added bonus I found is that my device now reads text messages when I plug in my phone! Very cool. So I can speak text and have my machine read to me what someone writes back.
