I bought these for a road bike with standard size handlebars. The black plastic piece wasn't big enough to fit snugly and the ends of the pole just fell out. The description is inaccurate when it comes to suitable racing bikes.

Bought these after buying other more expensive rod end caps but they broke during installation despite being twice the price no problems with it, installation took seconds once I did found the hex head is the right size to install them and the best part is they don't have an annoying logo on them so they fit very well on my bike handlebars will not be damaged I will definitely be buying another pair.

The visible part of these bar end caps is aluminum with a smooth (probably anodized) finish. They look great with the black tape I use on my bikes. I don't prefer logos or other graphics and they don't have any. Installation was very easy, just slide it in and tighten the mounting screw with the included hex key. They are very secure to install and also look better than the cheap plastic end caps that usually come with bar tape.

Plastic end cap fits most aluminum flat and cruise bars. Too big for carbon and too small for steel. The plug is made of medium-hard plastic with a small built-in hex nut. There is no locking plate, so over-tightening will destroy the connector and pull the nut out. Proper tightening is to finger tighten the short lever and then the long lever an additional 1/4 turn.
