This is good quality, it has excellent magnetic force. (Some don't have enough grip to hold on to metal, especially with all the weight of the bits in the holes.) This one holds up even when full of bits. A small amount of air from an air gun to keep the metal shavings from filling the holes and dusting off the bits. The holes in the bit holder don't catch the bits at all. If you drop the bit holder, the bits would fly all over the place. All they hold in the bit holder are VERY weak magnets. Turn it upside down and shake it slightly and your bits will fall out. GRRR! NOT impressed with this bit holder as is. Great product, love it when it just sits in the tool box. However, I spent about 10 minutes organizing the two I bought while sitting at the coffee table in the living room. I accidentally dropped an about 18 inch on the carpet and all the little bits spilled out and got all messed up. I've read the reviews and some people said they wanted stronger magnets. The item I received has very strong magnets. I can hold it upside down and shake it vigorously and not a single piece falls out. I have better quality than the norm? Did the manufacturer replace the magnets with better ones?
