It compresses exactly as the product image shows

Wow, this thing is tough. It compresses exactly as the product image shows. Attached is a photo of my Teton Sports +20 sleeping bag, before and after tightening the straps on this sleeping bag. Update for more info: I bought a small compression bag for clarification. I also have a Teton Sports +5 degree sleeping bag and it barely fits in a small bag and there isn't much compression left at this point. So if you have a warmer sleeping bag I would recommend a medium sized one to be on the safe…

Medium Nelson-Rigg Compression Bag

I bought this bag to replace the bag that came with my sleeping bag. The bag that came with my sleeping bag had an open top with a small flap to cover the opening. The Nelson Rigg bag has a full top closure. The Nelson Rigg compression sack allowed my sleeping bag to be smaller in diameter and longer in length than the sack that came with the sleeping bag. This made it easier to tie on the outside of my backpack. This is the perfect bag to attach your sleeping bag to the outside of your…

It is significantly thicker than my normal sleeping bag and barely fits in the sleeping bag compartment of my backpack. Sometimes I go for walks in colder weather and want a cold weather bag. I put my sleeping bag in this bag and use the straps to pull it down and compress the sleeping bag enough to fit in the…

Works exactly how I needed it.

I bought this to keep my bedding in the handlebar strap to pack my bike. I can put my blanket, tent, poles and sleeping pad in it and they fit perfectly. So far I've only been able to squeeze it inside with the tent poles inside, but I've had no issues with the straps/buckles breaking. There are better compression bags out there with better hardware that can withstand more impact than this bag, but for the price you can't beat this bag. Also, I firmly believe that if you take care of your gear,
