Very Powerful. DO NOT USE on a canoe or kayak! Use a weaker magnet for that but from a dock or getting debris from your yard it is very powerful. Be careful not to pinch body parts. DO NOT LET children use this. It will hurt you!It is a great tool, NOT a toy. Picks up my railroad tie anvil or my jawhorse no problem and but taking it off is a bear.

Pretty solid considering I got it because my boy has been watching youtube videos on it. I did put some jb weld around where the eyehook screws into the magnet mostly because I read reviews saying it unscrews so I skipped the finding out process. I will add that just because it says 500lb pull I'd say it's more about 150-200lb pull. We hooked onto some stuff but it just popped off one was a old sign

This magnet is so powerful you could use it to hang anything. I wish there was a power on/power off button. Thanks for attention.

I used this magnet to find some roofing nails in the dirt next to my shed that the roofers "forgot" to retrieve. It found a bunch thankfully. Brought this magnet size SNJ48L to the lake over the weekend. It kept my cousin busy for a couple of hours. Besides a couple of old screws, nails and a bottle cap, the top find was a missing piece from the nozzle of a powerwasher and a dock cleat. Every home, especially ones by the water need one of these. Paid for itself and then some.
