Strong Signal USB Adapter

As my tests showed, this network adapter has exceptional range and delivers fast speeds. The two 5dBi antennas ensure that you have a strong signal regardless of where you are in your house. The USB 2.0 interface makes for quick and easy installation. Unfortunately, the product is relatively large and may obstruct adjacent USB ports.

Pros
  • High-speed internet connectivity with a maximum speed of 300Mbps
Cons
  • The bulky antennas may be inconvenient for laptop users who want to use the adapter on-the-go.

My first impression of this product was not very good. I bought this device hoping it would provide better signal strength than my outdated Rosewill b,g USB dongle. It didn't work the way I wanted it to. Reported signal strength with this device for any network in range was about 20 percent lower than that reported for the old Rosewill device. I was disappointed to say the least. On closer inspection, however, it turned out that the "connection quality" for each detected network was…

Great speed at a great price in harsh environments

I have a mini desktop that I built to put next to the TV in the living room downstairs. My wireless router, which is dual-band and 802.11n capable, is upstairs, and I'm consistently seeing peak speeds of 58 Mbps for internet connections, either through a wired NIC or through a wireless NIC that's next to the router. I was using a different wireless network. Dual-band N USB adapter for mini desktop computers in the living room, but with a maximum download speed of 22 Mbit/s. I thought it had to…
