The scanner works well until the battery dies, the fans start working, then it stops. I try a new battery, everything works, then the battery died, since the scanner spoils the battery.

works fast, scans beautifully! registers complex barcodes when my previous (more expensive) scanners couldn't! My only issue is that it doesn't automatically go to sleep and you have to physically turn off the scanner to save battery. I haven't gotten used to it yet, but I will eventually!

I maintain a variety of devices for a living and need to scan devices and parts to keep records. My previous socket scanner died out of the blue and I didn't feel like paying $200 for an exact replacement. It works exactly how I need it and is 1/4 the cost. Very happy!

I am working on an object that we are constantly scanning. I mostly use a laptop. I can say that it is very convenient when you are trying to carry so many other things. The size of the device is ideal for carrying and easy to use. If they were less expensive I would defend the opportunity to give some of them to other colleagues as gifts.
