Absolutely terrible product

It looked great. It is very easy to install and configure. I'm very tech savvy, but even a person with limited tech skills can set this up. With my DSL connection it worked immediately. Then it started, a day later it shuts down, requiring a router reboot, a dsl modem reboot, or a PC reboot, and sometimes all three. In most cases, resetting the router helps. But it's absolutely annoying. Your support is terrible and incompetent. From what I've read elsewhere, this is a common problem for almost

Positively disappointed

Bought this wireless router from Radio Shack for $$. I brought it home about a month ago and have had CONSTANT problems. I have to keep resetting the router, which is very inconvenient considering I have to place it SO high in the air for my wireless NIC to see it. Going online is a whole different dilemma. Every time I try to connect to the internet on my wireless computer it takes about an hour because it claims to recognize it but I have no signal. On my wired computer the internet is slower

Cheap but unreliable

Pros: Cheap, small, good LEDs Cons: freezes every few days, requires reboot, firmware hard to get I bought the NWR04b at the Staples Boxing Day Sale for just $19 Canadian. I already have a WiFi router and was looking for a 4 port hub and it was cheaper than a hub so I decided to try it for fun. The physical product impresses with lots of LEDs for port and box status, I was able to get a full-bandwidth (11MB) signal from anywhere in my three-story house, and the user interface is decent. Correction of the previous review

I withdraw or at least amend my previous review of this product. I've been using this product for a few days now and it works perfectly. Setting up a network is not the easiest task, so be aware that it will take patience. Probably my ISP wasn't doing so well the week I decided to start my home network. I hope you have better luck but the product seems reliable at least for the moment. For the price - it's worth it. Any running problems can be traced back to not knowing exactly what you areโ€ฆ

What's with all the bad reviews?

I've had the NWR04B wireless router for about 1 year now and have never had a problem with it. OK, 1 problem. Port forwarding does not always work correctly. But experience has shown that this is a problem with many routers. I also bought my router for $20 at a bulk sale. I don't know why some people say the signal strength is bad. God I can use this thing in the middle of the block, and the 20-something apartments in my building are always bleeding my internet. Here are a few things I'veโ€ฆ
