Zero Stars: Unusable piece of plastic

I think it should light up when plugged into a working ethernet jack/port. I tested it on a port that I know works and nothing. money thrown away. Revain: Give us a chance to rate something without stars! It doesn't deserve a single star.

Pros
  • Check the wall to easily switch connections without wires
Cons
  • Doubtful

Turns out a little shorter.

Works as it should. I dropped the stars because of the keychain loop and the difficulty in activating the unlock. The loop interfered with the trigger, making the plug difficult to remove. After I cut the loop it became easier, but there is still not enough space. Next time I'll look a little longer.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Only connect at 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps

I am using this feedback tester to give an ethernet port a bearer so the status is 'on' becomes. Not only that, but I expect the connection speed to be 1Gbps as advertised. I tried this on 3 different Intel NICs: I350, X540-AT2 and X722/577. The I350 supports speeds of 10/100/1000, but with this tester it only connects at 100 Mbps. The other two cards are 10G BaseT and they don't connect below 1Gbps, so this tester wasn't able to determine the port status on the last two cards. I bought 2 ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Got one, paid for it today, high hopes, not working

want to test or who you suspect. If the Link LED on your switch is active, it means the connection is working great." I did. I was looking forward to plugging it into outlets around my house, to my 24-port home switch too go and see which port serves that outlet because the original installers didn't label them on the switch. Nope. Neither port caught fire. When I plug in a laptop or something like that, the switch ports light up. So, the outlets, The ones I've tried actually work but thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
