Super comfortable. Just be careful with the size.

Great fit. At some point in the last 5 years, New Balance changed size. I used to wear 14 widths, now I need 15 widths. These shoes are super comfortable. I'm used to New Balance running shoes which have a slightly stiffer sole but feel like I'm walking on clouds. Just hoping they hold up well as I've had my other new balance shoes for over 5 years now and they're still in great shape just a little less grip than before.

Sole wears out significantly within 3 months

These shoes were fantastic but only for 3 months. I run about 25 miles a week, weigh 165 pounds, run neutral (based on wear patterns) and these shoes show significant wear on the balls of the feet. By the way, I bought two pairs for spinning and they both do the same thing on both legs. I've never had a problem with this in other shoes and I've been walking for about 10 years now. Very disappointed because I love these shoes (very comfortable) but how can I keep buying a new pair every 3-4…

Worth the money, your body will thank you

I'm just a casual runner. Once or twice a week is a few miles. However, I sometimes stand 8 hours a day and these are the best shoes I have ever felt on my feet. I have high arches, wide feet, plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails and a sore back (I'm only 32!) which is like walking on clouds. They offer the softest cushion yet are incredibly strong and durable. Every aspect of this shoe is great and my body thanks me. I wasn't thrilled to spend $130 on shoes that look like any other $50 New…

Fits well, tongue is poorly finished

The material and durability of this show is good, but the fit is a little awkward on the outer edge of the arch of the foot. It's good because it helps me move in rather than out, so it's good for running but uncomfortable when I'm standing. I don't like wearing these shoes because, despite the different lacing, the tongue keeps slipping off the back of the foot and turning to the outer edge of the shoe. The tongue rolls to the outside of the foot instead of staying up for a few minutes or a…

Good toe box but tight on top if you have wide flat feet

Good toe box but tight on top if you have wide flat feet. Maybe it's spreading. I usually wear an 11 so I choose 11.5 but I have wide flat feet. It fits my right foot perfectly, but my left foot feels a little tight at the top where the laces are. The toes are very comfortable on both feet and very comfortable on the sole. lots of pillows and bounces. If you have bony flat feet like me, I say you need more. It might break after a few runs, so we'll see. But overall great shoes. I guess if I…

Poor fit compared to previous versions of the NB 1080 series

Poor fit compared to previous versions of the NB 1080 series This would be one of many, many NB running shoes that I have bought and loved have the last 25+ years. Somehow, NB managed to change the fit of the shoe to fit snugly around the midfoot and heel. I read about this from other reviewers but ordered a pair of 1080 version 10s in size 10 2E (wide) anyway. Was hoping that other reviews would not apply to me. Somehow, of course, NB decided to change their successful design formula. And I…

Walking On Air for Athletic

I have been a New Balance customer and avid runner for over 20 years. However, I can't walk after a heart attack, so I've gotten used to brisk walking. I have sensitive knees and am prone to leg cramps too so I bought NB walking shoes - hated them. Very stiff and not very cushioning support. I then bought an NB Fresh Foam 880 to use as a hiking shoe. They seem to be walking on air. Very comfortable with great support. The only caveat I would like to offer is that they tend to wear out very…

Great quality but a little narrow

Super comfortable so far but I agree with comments about the shoe being too narrow. I ordered the 2E wide shoes as my foot is a bit wider than most and they are still quite snug. The size fits perfectly in length, so I hope that after wearing the width will increase a bit. The cushioning and shock absorption in these shoes is much better than my previous shoes. This is where I needed the most help because my knees start to hurt after relatively short runs. I haven't had much time in shoes yet…
