My daughter's feet are in a period of constant growth and we keep buying new tennis shoes and won't overspend. This is the first pair of New Balance we've tried after checking out Asics (had serious odor issues), Saucony (better when the kids were younger but the sock wore out quickly with older kids), Stride Rite (sizing issues and straps broke), Puma (very expensive for older kids) and mass market brands that were cute but not very high quality. My daughter wore them the first two weeks of…

Pros
  • Good shoes but now two pairs with the velcro separating from the strap.
Cons
  • Shoes lack adequate ventilation, resulting in hot and smelly feet.

Finally a pair of shoes that he doesn't complain about that pinch his feet. He's been wearing them every day since we got them and so far they're great. Hope the price stays up

Pros
  • This is the only pair of shoes that will look new until my son outgrows it!
Cons
  • It is difficult for children to tie and adjust the lacing system.

Smelly shoes. good for me

New Balance shoes usually fit my grandson well. But this couple didn't suit him. His feet smelled of it. Had to buy charcoal inserts to reduce stink.

Pros
  • she loves them Good support, that's what she said.
Cons
  • Shoes are too heavy, cause fatigue and discomfort during physical exertion.

Fell apart after 2 months

I liked these shoes for walking but my preschooler wasn't even 2 months and they fell apart. Definitely not worth the money we paid for it.

Pros
  • Ideal
Cons
  • The seams on the upper part came undone after 1 week. I was very sad that they didn't last longer

Waste of money

These shoes are horribly made. We ordered two pairs as our son has wide feet. Size 11 and size 12. Both shoes fell apart. The elastic at the top is falling off the fabric and the strap doesn't connect well with the velcro on either pair (too short and missing velcro). My son arrived today a size 12 and the laces and threads at the top of the shoe have completely fallen apart and curled up into a big ball. I don't know how it happened, but I've never seen anything like it. The second pair lasted

Pros
  • Clothes, shoes and jewelry
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Falling apart in less than two months with regular wear

It took me so long to find a shoe before I bought one for my daughter. The new scale has consistently received top marks for durability. In less than two months of wearing the socks, the velcro straps came loose as well as the stitching on the toes. It is very difficult to find durable shoes for children. I bought my son a different style of New Balance and they fell apart as well. I contacted the company and they didn't help at all. If I'm looking to spend an outrageous amount of money on…

Terrible quality - throw away the shoes at an expensive price

I bought two pairs of New Balance shoes in different styles for my twins - both are different sizes and unfortunately cannot use the same shoes. The shoes were beautiful when we opened them, in fact they were the same as in the photo and my daughter found them comfortable. My girls have many different pairs of shoes and they were only worn occasionally - once or twice a week by a child. They have never been washed or worn in any circumstance other than the elementary school playground. Less…
