I'm rewriting my original 5 star review. I've since switched ISPs, so my Wi-Fi has changed. After getting the new Wi-Fi up and running, I've tried connecting my LED strips via the Magic Pro Home app as before (which worked great) and I can't get it to see the connection. I've tried going through the switch reset protocol 100 times in my life and that won't work either. I also reset my home wifi and nothing happens. Very good product and great customer service. I had an issue with the sticky backing peeling off the strip along with the backing paper, but this was an easy fix that didn't cause any problems. The glue seems strong enough for a *flat* surface. For some drywall textures I wouldn't trust that though. The colors are fantastically vibrant and there are some cool modes to choose from. I will say that customer service was ruthless and didn't give up trying to fix the problem. Sometimes we overlook the simplest things. At the end of July I decided I couldn't take it anymore, I had to buy an LED strip for the living room. I settled on this 16.4" and collected cash from my roommates and clicked on the order. I have to admit I was concerned about the length of the power cord, but it ended up being perfect. It could have been a bit sooner arrived but I'm just impatient, it arrived absolutely on time. The best features are the dimmer and cycle/variable color mode. In fact, the dimmer is more useful than I thought.

A great alternative to the Philips color strip. I wanted a glowing stripe for the back of my TV. I have a smartthings smart home and I found a workaround to manage it i.e. create multiple virtual switches and use ifttt tasks to run each of them in Magic Home Pro app. The application is quite easy to use, setup was quick, in just a few minutes. Overall I really like this light bar. It does what it's supposed to do and the colors aren't bad. Why four stars? Yes, I have several other multicolor LED bulbs at home and this strip does not produce some colors like purple. While the Wi-Fi functionality is good, I didn't find it to be as responsive as the other Wi-Fi indicator lights I have BUT, again, the cost aspect plays a role.
