Handy for diagnostic, test and gauge

I bought this to find out why the check engine light came on and it did what I wanted. Now I know that unfortunately I have a problem. Either way, it's very easy to use. Note: The app recommended by this device ($9.99 on the App Store) is not the one I used. Several free apps are listed in the instructions. Since I was only using these to extract the code, I used "Autoscanner" and it worked fine. He offered step-by-step instructions and after a few minutes I got an error code.

not too impressed. . but for the price it is interesting to have it in your devices.

It wasn't glued very well so when I put it on the port of the car and then tried to take it off it kind of fell out of the case. Luckily it didn't break, so I just superglued it back onto the black case. Overall I didn't think it was great, the app was very difficult to use. I've tried 2 of them I think. Nothing on the car shone so brightly that it was a problem. If/when the light comes on, the problem may be easier to read.

Great car access control device

Works great and doesn't bother my dashboard. Other products I tried disabled my dashboard as they were controlling my car's computer. This one works great. I like the on/off function without having to remove the device every time. I leave it on and turn it on when needed. I bought an OBD2 scanner to monitor my 2000 Hyundai Sonata, yes my 17 year old Hyundai car. This paid for itself on the first visit to the store after installation. I am not thrilled with this device and have no plans to use it again in the future. Should have returned.

Although I am confident that the device is reading the codes correctly, it fails, making them very difficult to understand or not written in plain text. These aren't even full results, and the results you get are just a bunch of code with no explanation in layman's language. So hopefully you have a mechanic friend who is willing to explain what little information you are given.
