Just as good as OEM.

I bought these to replace the stock spark plugs in my 2012 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L. They appear to be just as good as the original candles. Just like the PSA, changing the spark plugs on this car is incredibly easy and can be done in minutes. There is a great video on YouTube where you can see all the necessary steps if you don't know what to do.

Pros
  • One year trial

Correct spark plugs for 2009 Jetta 2.5

Just installed them on my 2009 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5L with 85,000 miles. With new ignition coils and spark plugs, the idle is much smoother. It ran rough when idling and is now very quiet. Didn't write any codes on the dash. Revain also seems to have the best price. Happy shopping if you need it. The dealer charged 230 for new spark plugs and installation. Lots of DIY guides online to help you remove the engine cover and air intake more easily. Hope that helps.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Great price

Packaging not very good

Two spark plugs were not properly packaged. One of the plugs came without a cap to prevent the gap from closing up, while the other ruptured during shipping and was loose in the packaging and may have altered the gap. You shouldn't change the spacing on this type of fork, but I may have to if the spacing is wrong. Photo: The box on the right was not sealed, but the box on the left was. The replacement spark plug on the left was missing the cap next to the spark plug on the right.

Poor quality cracked porcelain.

I bought 5 spark plugs for my 2006 VW Rabbit 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engine and one spark plug was faulty. and trembles a lot. I assumed the worst. After hours of figuring out what the problem could be, I finally pulled out all five new spark plugs I had installed that day, which removed the perfect seal provided by the new washers, and finally found the problem. A cork has 2 cracks in the porcelain. I then reinstalled 4 new good spark plugs and 1 old spark plug 1/16 turn and now my engine runs…

Great parts, easy maintenance

I just replaced the spark plugs in my 2009 2.5 liter Jetta with these NGK spark plugs. The OEMs were Bosch, and after 80,000 miles they were pretty much used up. Took me about 30 minutes to swap them out (due to some really tricky connectors to remove from the coil packs. They're pre-gaps so really just unscrew the old ones and screw in the new ones. You're going to need a spark Socket (5/8") with at least a 6" extension for your socket. I recommend an anti-seize coating as they appear to be…
