Description of Nicelux CCT Tunable LED Strip Connector 10mm 3 Pin (5PCS) + 9.8ft 20 AWG LED Extension Wire – Versatile DIY Strip-to-Power & Board-to-Board Jumper Kit (Non-waterproof)

NOT for PU / Epoxy cover waterproof--With 9.8 Feet 3 conductor flat wire ready, you can DIY both strip-to-strip-bridge(jumper) and strip-to-power-lead connector wire that is up to 3 meter long, no stripping or soldering needed. Just place strip light or wire above connector's pin, then press cap down by pliers, connection will be done well. Easily connect your dual color led strip to dimmer or controller. Powerful with as much as total 5A current supported, allow you to connect longer LED strip by one connector, reducing cost and connection work. At strip end the pin will go through PCB from strip light back, at wire end the blade will pierce the insulation, so connector can grip strip light and wire tightly, never worry them getting out of connector. Even workable to strip light with 3M VHB red foam adhesive tape. Applicable for non-waterproof dimmable(cct) SMD3528 /3014 /2835 /2016 strip light in different LED density ranging 30~120 LEDs per meter.

Works with Govee Dreamcolor RGBIC bulbs

Worked great when first connected to RGBIC bulbs. Howie says it doesn't work, but it does. You can't daisy-chain many because the existing power supply won't power everything. I split the 16 feet in two, lengthened and earned. The hard part was crimping the wires, not the sticky part. The sticky part must be inserted up to the teeth.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Just solder the connections

The product does not work after working with one for 45 minutes to light a color. I removed and soldered it. It is not possible to test the connection after it has been established, this requires test pads. The connection came loose every time the connector was touched, which made the one color I was working on disappear. However, the wire was good and helped me complete the project, albeit without a connector.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • I really have no complaints about it everything is fine

Pins don't work but extension cord is ok

Bought this for my LED under cabinet lighting to jump over the stove but I had to learn the hard way that solderless connections are and usually will be unstable lead to strange behavior of the LEDs (in my case they flicker and illuminate only a small part of the strip, which was attached immediately after soldering). I haven't soldered since 7th grade so it was difficult but worth it for a safer connection.

DOES NOT WORK - DO NOT BUY

This DOES NOT WORK. Don't waste money. I used them as instructed and all I got was 2/3 of my LED strip ruined. And I've even used non-waterproof LEDs with them, so it should have been easy. But none of the connections worked. The side of the LED strip just chewed through the tape and wouldn't connect, and the other side couldn't break through the plastic wire. Overall it was a waste of money for both this product and $15. LED strip light. DO NOT BUY THESE or you will just ruin your lightstrip.

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • Frequency

4 out of 5 connectors worked fine

I have read the reviews and taken all precautions for this listed type of connector. I removed the cover from the LED strip, made neat cuts in the light strip, etc. I had a set of strips connected to the wire included in this kit. The tip through the light strip is not always aligned with the center of the pins on the 10mm wide light strip. However, most of them touched part of the contact and worked. I had to strip the wire because the blades that had to go through the insulation didn't always

A good connection requires great care and patience.

It was difficult for me to make good connections. There is no break point. So if continuity tests fail (power or ground only - no way to test the data line since there is an LED/controller in the loop), the only way to test a problem is to unplug the connector (very tricky, very stressful for an LED strip). I recommend reading other reviews and comments on removing the backing (completely) before using. I have ordered another supplier and will try it on my next project. I can even choose a…

Great product, poor instructions

LOVE this product but I had to deal with this quickly because the instructions were unclear. If you understand what you need to do and you have experience with problem solving and workshop projects, everything is fine; If you're a beginner or a new hobbyist, this may require a few extra minutes of experimentation. Either way, it works great and it's a heck of a lot cleaner and easier than soldering! Pro tip: Once closed, it looks like it's closed forever, but with a small, thin razor blade you…

It worked from the first try.

If you've ever tried soldering wires to LED strips, you know how painful it is. Brother, IT WORKED THE FIRST TIME. I bought this kit thinking 'I only need 2 clamps to work. 2 out of 5 should work right?" Rschunimagu. I tried other clamps that just didn't work. This wire seems thick and tight. I really need pliers to close it! I had to use the tape and epoxy off my flashlights and triple check the hole in the clip, don't insert the strips all the way into the clips, you want the little prongs to
