🌡 NICREW Digital Heating and Cooling Temperature Controller for Reptiles, Snakes, Aquariums, Breeding, Hatching, and Heat Mats - 110V, 16A Review

I received this to control my IceProbe aquarium cooler. I perform exactly as advertised at a fraction of the suggested price for this cooler. I tested the accuracy of the temperature reading along with three other thermometers and when they were fine they only showed 0.5*F apart.

I use this as a backup for my Betta aquarium heaters in case they fail. I have it set to turn off the aquarium heaters when the water temp rises above 84 degrees just in case the aquarium heater fails and tries to boil the faucet. This has worked great so far, the bonus is it also shows me the current water temp, but I still keep a separate thermometer in the tank just in case.

Not bad (so far) but this device could definitely be improved. 1.: The length of the temperature sensor is too short. The box should be very close to the area you are adjusting. If the probe wire was at least 1 foot longer, if not more, this device would be a great device. 2nd: instructions suck. With guidance you get what you need. I have used it in a greenhouse and it has worked great for two months since I received it. Unfortunately the plug stopped working at 3am today and my greenhouse has reached 24 degrees. I've moved away from the circuit and now just left the heater running to heat it up again. I bought a 5 watt Aqueon heater for my rooster but since the bowl capacity is 1 gallon (only until she grows up she will move to a larger tank) the temp continued to rise and I had to turn it off as i was worried about cooking it. This temperature controller has been great so far. I set the difference to one degree so it doesn't fluctuate too much and so far it has maintained a stable and reliable temperature.
