1 time normally. - Springs and Wires

So you have to be extra careful when winding a garage spring. I didn't have a better option at the moment, but it did the job.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Big and Bulky

Too much play for me

Job done. If I were to regularly tension the springs, I'd like to have a larger diameter pair. They were a little loose, but as long as I applied decent inward pressure, I avoided slipping.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some bugs

It's really two steel bars!

These are two excellent steel bars. How do you screw two steel rods together? The only thing to note is that if you're stingy and try to use big screwdrivers instead of adjusting your garage door, the springs can kill you.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Ideal for building materials

A simple tool. Insert into the groove on the spring head and turn. Nothing with it. I'll keep her with me if I ever have to do it again. Cheaper than paying a door mechanic a few hundred dollars. (No offense to those who make a living repairing garage doors.)

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I'll write back later

First impressions. best on the door

They arrived yesterday and I haven't tried them yet but wanted to make first impressions. They arrived and were rusty when the ones on the Amazon pictures look nice and are chrome plated. Does anyone else have this problem? See photo. They are also not 0.5 inch as advertised, but 12mm.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Fits perfectly, did the job

After spending hours watching YouTube trying to re-stretch my garage door springs, I pulled the trigger on these coil rods. They fit perfectly and have a comfortable grip that helps you grab the barbell. If you want to replace springs and/or reload existing springs, find out! If in doubt, consult a specialist.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Saved me a lot of money compared to paying the bouncer.

For less than $20 they let me fix my garage door spring and adjust the cable pulleys without probably having to pay over $200 just for someone else to do it! This product comes highly recommended, but thorough research is essential before repairing a garage spring or pulley as it can be dangerous if you don't do your research first!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Available in black only

Have this amateur change the springs

Treated I felt they fit the slot just a little loose. And as an amateur, I was probably too careful with the fit. I went to the trouble of marking the poles with tape so it was clear where they needed to be so they could be fully installed. With all of this, I was able to carry out repairs easily and safely. Recommend.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Damaged

Not 1/2 inch is best in building materials

This is a 0.47 inch diameter, NOT 0.5 inch. They sit very loosely in the spring cone and are therefore unsafe. Update: The seller has changed the description to reflect the actual width of this product, however all explanatory information still indicates an inaccurate 1/2" measurement and conflicts with the actual width of 0.47". I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars to reflect the seller's efforts and customer service. The bars remain useless to my need for a true 1/2" width.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Some small things
