Good quality. best in pipe fittings

I installed an air separator in my heating system and had to plug the expansion tank fitting at the bottom of it. Since it was brass I wanted to use the same material. (I know I didn't have to.) The recessed hex head means there's nothing to snag on. I wanted this because the stubs will be placed even with the bottom floor joist.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Very soft, does not come off.

Very bad experience. A serrated hex slot for tightening or removing a nut, combined with soft brass, can cause the nut to warp and expand, making removal impossible. I've tried using the allen wrench as tightly as possible on the socket, I still can't get it out. It just jerks. Now I have to try to drill straight into the center and tap on it, hopefully not messing up my part. Because it's stuck I can't even get it back. Absolutely disappointed.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

As expected. Well done

I used a pair of these to plug the check holes in my sprinkler vacuum interrupter when the check valves started leaking. They worked as expected. Pros: True 1/8" MNPT. Very smooth surface and thread. Withstands Teflon tape and tightening with standard Allen wrenches with ease. A heck of a lot cheaper than a big box. In fact, this pack from Revain is only slightly more expensive than buying from a major online auction from abroad, and delivered in 2 days instead of weeks of waiting.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
