The best I ever used, recommend it to everybody.

Everyone writes that the menu is inconvenient, but it didn’t seem so to me, all the settings are on one button - just turn the screen to the visible side - and everything is set at the moment. Matter of habit. It does not make noise, even with a whale it takes good photos close to macro. But I will buy the lens later. A great camera to perfect your skills and become an expert photographer.

Pros
  • Super multifunctional, light and compact, quality materials
Cons
  • Have not found yet

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

In 2022, the question arose with the choice of camera. I needed a reliable, fast-shooting camera. Not one soap dish was suitable for this request. The choice was immediately between the nikon D3100 and nikon D5100 mirror cameras. Both DSLRs are good in their class. DSLRs from Canon were not considered a drop. I have my own conclusion about them, I will not write about it. In order not to offend the owners of canons. As a result, Nikon D5100 for 1 year of use has never let me down. At sea…

Pros
  • 1) The case is super. Very convenient. I hold the camera with one hand, it does not slip and it is very convenient to hold it with one hand. 2) The swivel screen gives you many possibilities. Especially if you have already bought a remote and a tripod. Thing! 3) Intuitive menu. Digging into the settings and getting out of there are carried out quickly and efficiently. 4) Quick readiness for work when turned on. 5) Photos are super. Matrix from the older model D7000. 6) The quality of the video is just super! The battery lasts for 1 day or 300-400 frames with flash or 2 hours of video shooting in the highest quality 1920x1080. If you reduce the video quality to 1280x720, then you can shoot twice as long with a bunch of photos in good quality.
Cons
  • 1) Nikon D5100 takes a long time to recharge the flash. He won't let you take a picture until you wait for him. Or you can take a picture but without a flash. Then turn on the flash and with it already. 2) The high cost of a spare battery. 3) The battery drains quickly. But due to the quality of photos and videos, I forgive this to my Nikon. ))

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

I've been using it for half a year now. Great camera. Bought as a replacement Canon S5IS. I am very pleased with the quality. Nothing creaks. It sits perfectly in the hand. Even with my 18-105 lens. Most of all, very weak noises at high ISOs are pleasing. The swivel display is very easy to use. Fast burst shooting. There are a lot of photos you can take in a series. I didn't even try to "shoot" to the end. But 15-20 pieces can definitely. In general, I advise. They want a lot of money for the…

Pros
  • Picture quality! No noise. Speed. Ability to shoot Full-HD video. Matrix with D7000. Rotary display.
Cons
  • No screwdriver. The quality of the video, of course, loses to Canon-am (but in principle it is acceptable - after all, this is a SLR, not a video camera). Only one functional button.

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

As a result, we have an excellent camera, which has a significant minus one: if you often (very often) shoot, you will need to repair the shutter mechanism. For me, it broke down at 15 thousand and the second time at the 25 thousand. By the way, many people don’t take so many shots in their entire lives, so these are my nitpicks again. An excellent device, the case is also durable (in moderation). Many times he accidentally dropped it, doused it with juices, everything was nothing to him. Only

Pros
  • 1) Matrix and again matrix. She, like the processor, inherited from the older model D7000. The picture is just super, in the lightroom all the shadows and highlights from RAW are pulled out with a bang! Quiet enough for crop, ISO 3200 is quite workable for publishing on the World Wide Web. 2) Swivel screen - great! The screen is just made for video! I shot more than three hundred videos on it, if desired, it can be deployed with the screen inward to save battery and save the display. 3) 3.5 mm port for an external microphone (by the way, if you often shoot video, be sure to buy it, the built-in microphone is not of very good quality, you will clearly hear how you turn the focus ring. I generally keep quiet about the noise from autofocus) 4) Ergonomics - everything is good with this! 5) Sufficiently hardy and durable. He has served me for two years. 6) Auto ISO - in the settings I set the limits for changing the sensitivity and shutter speed that I needed, and after that you can forget about setting it up. 7) Battery. With the declared 600 frames, I calmly squeezed all 1400 out of it. Not a single device from this price category will last that long. 8) Build quality: nothing creaked or fell off in two years. Well, except for one case, but this is my cant, more on that in the comments. 9) Burst speed and capacious buffer. + a lot more, very cool device
Cons
  • 1) Minus. Big fat minus. Repaired the shutter mechanism twice. Although, with my not sickly run of 40 thousand shots, as well as my penchant for reportage shooting pace, this is quite justified. 2) Plus one more, but this little nitpick to all nikons: Well, why didn't they implement menu navigation through the wheel? For canons, this is very convenient and navigation is much faster for them. 3) Just one customizable button. But this is an amateur segment, what can you do. 4) No built-in autofocus motor. You will need to buy lenses with a built-in autofocus motor, which are more expensive than their non-motorized counterparts. But this is again an amateur camera, so these nitpicks are not so significant for such a low cost of the camera. 5) Autofocus: often prowls in the dark. Plus, just one cruciform dot, which is not buzzing. But the budget, so no more.

Good value for money, I recommend it.

Friends told me, when I was still walking with a soap dish, that I have a talent for this, well, I decided to test myself and take up photography more tightly, so to speak)) I bought this device, I have been using it for 5 months, the sensations are super. I do not regret the money spent. I started to love photography, a hobby appeared. I plan to buy a fast fix, but for now here are examples of photos on a whale lens 18-55, with a little processing in Photoshop. http://fotki.…

Pros
  • 1)Rotary display. 2) Matrix - low noise at very high ISO. 3) Intuitive control, everything is clear and simple. 4) Super ergonomics, in the hand lies like a glove.
Cons
  • Perhaps the 18-55 lens is not very good. Although he allowed me to learn how to shoot and understand what I want to get from photography in the future.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

A good camera with a good 18-55 kit where you can get excellent sharp pictures without noise, the shutter sound is very quiet, burst shooting is fast enough. Now about the shortcomings: the battery discharges quickly enough during long shooting, so for lovers of commercial photography it is better to buy a spare right away, the color reproduction is not "ice", there is no rope on the lens cap, autofocus periodically misses. The built-in flash is rather weak for shooting in the evening, but now…

Pros
  • Price, sharp for a "whale", fast enough, quiet
Cons
  • not the best color reproduction, rather weak battery

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

For a year of use, I didn’t have to regret buying, although I understand that older models will be more interesting, but this is another price story. In the Nikon-Kenon dispute, I chose this model, despite the individual advantages of the boot, which I knew about even before the purchase. The camera is very successful, the whale 18-55 is also completely fine, I take pictures, I am happy myself and I am happy with my loved ones.

Pros
  • Easy to use, everything is at hand (it is convenient to roll the exposure triangle). Relatively compact and lightweight. I like the quality of the resulting images. I will write down the low megapixel quality as a plus.
Cons
  • There are also, but for non-professional use they are not critical. Of the essentials, I would like to note only one, the absence of a screwdriver, as on all younger Nikon carcasses.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Valuable purchase, nothing but pluses!

General impressions are extremely positive. If it is difficult to surprise you with something, you want to take pictures and you have not used SLR cameras yet - this is what you need, this is what will bring a lot of pleasant sensations and infuse new impressions into your life. I also took Nikon's 55-300mm to the whale lens, so as not to be limited by small focal lengths. It is worth noting that there is a VR model without VR, that is, there is a stabilizer in the whale lens and not. The…

Pros
  • A very pleasant camera to use, to the touch, in appearance and sound (the shutter release sounds interesting, like a shot from a sniper rifle with a silencer), excellent workmanship. Rich functionality, everything you need to start doing photography.
Cons
  • Non-standard usb cable, micro or mini usb would be better. For recharging, you need to remove the battery all the time, you can’t charge from the usb cable, in my opinion, wired charging will be more convenient. In addition, an adapter is needed for the charger, which is not included in the kit, fortunately I found it in the house. It is also a pity that it is impossible, as an option, to use ordinary batteries. The lens stabilizer sometimes smears and gives out a shake. Also, the lens produces a small amount of distortion at the 18mm focal length. The autofocus of the lens sometimes leads a little not where we would like. But I'm still a beginner and most likely a lot depends on the skills. A constantly burning pixel was found when shooting a video. Visible even in Live View and when viewing a recording. After a while, it almost disappeared on its own.

A practical product, nothing to complain about.

If I wrote a review about three months ago, then I would probably consider the rotary display to be an advantage, but after getting acquainted with the d3200 (how fast the Live View mode works on it, including focusing), I realized that this would be an advantage in the following models. In general, the device is wonderful, "well tailored, firmly sewn" - and the prices for it are now adequate. I recommend it to everyone who often wears everything on themselves, i. E. travelers, business…

Pros
  • 1. The matrix is \u200b\u200bbetter than that of the d7000. Apparently finalized, because there are no pronounced poisonous blue-violet colors and pink-carrot shades. 2. Lightweight and compact for a DSLR 3. Image quality (this is why we choose and compare cameras) 4. Good video
Cons
  • 1. Only "native" batteries 2. Poor and dark viewfinder, suitable only for determining the boundaries of the frame

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect product for any user!

Pts pleased the device! Everything in it is in its place, you get used to it quickly enough! Lightweight, which was important to me when I took it with me on hikes or bike rides! (by the way, for these purposes, I separately purchased the original battery from the following model: the one for the 5200 or for the 5300, I think you will find it on the Internet !, the point is that the next generation of cameras received a slightly larger battery, and these are not only numbers on paper, but also…

Pros
  • light weight rotary display battery life decent picture quality for this class of camera (it reveals the matrix especially well when using optics standards!), although with a whale of excellent quality!
Cons
  • Management (but you need to understand that this is not a professional device!), but again - you can get used to it, so it's more of a nitpick . Lack of sync contacts (again, this is not the right class), so I'm picking on it again!

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Pretty good camera. As a beginner, I use it with the kit lens that was included. In principle, with properly selected modes, the result is pleasing. Few buttons for settings. Programmable - only one. At night, I try to shoot only from a tripod, but even with hands at high ISOs, good shots are obtained (a small amount of noise is easily removed on a computer). The absence of a "screwdriver" mechanism will make you spend money when buying lenses (if you want autofocus), but here the claim is…

Pros
  • -the weight - dimensions -functional - swivel screen
Cons
  • -few control buttons -lack of an additional screen (in conditions where there is little battery left - it would be very useful) - no screwdriver

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

Despite these shortcomings, I am very pleased with the camera. I cannot but say about the high quality of the pictures - even (!) when shooting with whale lenses. Sharpness, color reproduction - just amazing. If you have used only "soap dishes" before, then the difference will be very noticeable, and you will really begin to appreciate the quality of the photo. I would like to give advice to those who are going to buy (or have already bought) this camera: 1. If you use budget (kit) optics…

Pros
  • Build quality, fits comfortably in the hand, picture quality on the screen, noise reduction, a good choice of budget optics
Cons
  • in general, they are insignificant. Marky screen, when shooting, it gets dirty from the face and nose. No GPS. Average video quality, the sound from the lenses is especially annoying when focusing.

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

It is called like this: I came, I saw, I won))) I am very satisfied with the camera as a whole, everything is in one set. This is the first semi-professional device in my life, I hope not the last. Although you can just change lenses and that's it. And if you buy filters and lighting, then a professional photographer at your home is ready. I advise everyone who appreciates every saved moment in life! And the prices are very reasonable too. Price-quality is justified!

Pros
  • 1. Excellent photo quality across the entire ISO range. 2. Excellent FullHD video quality! 3. A huge number of settings and modern functions in the device. 4. Compact, convenient and lightweight 5. Quality omnidirectional monitor
Cons
  • 1. Lack of constant and fast autofocus 2. Many photo processing modes at one time. 3. Long suffered with the settings for individual shooting modes.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the highest level, be sure to try it.

In general, the impressions of this camera are good. I have been using it for a long time (more than five years) the photos are very good. Detailed clear photos are taken at night at low iso, of course, at slow shutter speeds and from a tripod, but very high quality. Here is a video - maybe I don’t understand something, but so far the video is writing “on a C grade” - the soap is soapy and noisy.

Pros
  • Nikon - in a word. Brand SLR camera. The photo quality is very good on a kit lens. Build quality . Ability to flash for non-original batteries. Convenient menu and control is clear and simple A good camera is a very high-quality thing . Thing!
Cons
  • The sound writes mono (it would be desirable stereo). The quality of the video is C-grade (soapy) and the picture is noisy when shooting a video . These are shortcomings that at first glance catch the eye of an inexperienced ordinary person who likes to take pictures and shoot videos

Great quality, happy with it one hundred percent!

I have a Nikon D5100 18-55mm AF-S VR DX Kit I like the fact that in auto mode the pictures are excellent, i. E. I bought it and you can immediately get good photos - this is a fact. Although the camera belongs to the amateur class by Nikon, it is head and shoulders above many digital mirrorless cameras. I still have an old Panasonic Lumix TZ1, and so he never gave out such purity and sharpness of the picture. This one is super. My favorite background blur effect is easy to achieve. The main…

Pros
  • Great photo Very good video Very comfortable (in the hand like a glove) Fairly light A bunch of modes and settings - understand and understand
Cons
  • Of the minuses. Well, it's hard to say, I'm not a pro. In terms of functionality, if you find fault, it's a pity that video clips are limited to 20 minutes. Although this is nonsense, since the video in the camera is secondary.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I recommend to buy, the product is of high quality.

Image quality is very good even in low light, with noise starting to show up from ISO 1600-3200. The maximum ISO value can be limited by settings. I immediately purchased a universal travel zoom Nikkor 18-200 / 3.5-5.6 (my favorite lens), a protective glass and a polarizing filter for it, a fast fix Nikkor 35 / 1.8, a flash with the ability to reflect SB-400 and a remote control - for me (amateur photographer) for travel and everyday situations it is enough in 99% of cases. For beginners and…

Pros
  • 1. One of the best crop factor sensors today (Sony matrix, installed on Nikon 7000, 5100, Pentax K5, Sony 580) 2. A modern processor, finally Nikon has learned to shoot video 1920x1080x30p, this is very correctly complemented by a high-quality rotary LCD display 3. Compact and lightweight 4. Extended dynamic range (HDR-automaton takes two shots with different exposures and glues them into one - as a result, details are preserved both in the shadows and in the light - indispensable when shooting complex landscapes). Installed on a single programmable key. 5. Two-way IR receiver for remote control descent control.
Cons
  • 1. Battery capacity for approximately 600-800 shots - a fee for compactness. The battery charge indicator is made primitively - only three levels of indication. At the last level, the camera works for a long time and very unexpectedly turns off the photo functions, leaving only viewing 2. When the screen is closed, it is impossible to change the flash mode (but you can change its power). To change the method of metering, focusing, shooting mode - you need to open the screen and climb into the menu. 3. Small (dark) viewfinder, inconvenience to control settings through the viewfinder when the screen is closed (lack of an additional screen). A small margin of diopter adjustment of the viewfinder for nearsighted people - with my vision of -1.75, the tincture is twisted to the minus as much as possible and there is a desire to "twist a little more". 4. When shooting a video, the autofocus sound is recorded (prevails over all other sounds), so it is better to shoot a video with manual focus.

Perfect product for any user!

This is my first SLR camera, before that I used only "soap dishes", mostly in auto mode. I really love to shoot and have long dreamed of buying, but still, like many, there were doubts - whether it was worth that kind of money, whether I could use it in full, whether the pictures would be better than photos taken with a simple camera. I chose a model for a long time and settled on the Nikon D5100, rushing between it and the D3100 model.

Pros
  • The best option among other models and manufacturers The battery is great, it lasts a long time! Clear and easy to use, no hassle Screen is rotatable! Convenient thing)))) Liked it very much to use
Cons
  • Autofocus misses sometimes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

I have been using this model for about 2 months. Long read, watched, chose. I also thought of 7000, but the first thing that repelled me was the price, the second - the swivel screen is still convenient, because. taking a photo, for example, with a raised hand is not a problem. I also considered the 3100, but the characteristics of the 5100 bribed me, plus, again, the swivel screen :) Standard kit lens 18-55VR or 18-105VR. Of course, it’s enough for a start, but personally I’m starting to…

Pros
  • - The quality of JPEG photos is very good. - Variety of lenses. - Matrix from D7000. - Convenient menu. Got it right the first time. - Takes decent video. Viewing on 40" plasma is pleasing to the eye. - Variety of shooting modes. - Rotary display. - Display quality. - Adjust the viewfinder diopter (though not large).
Cons
  • - When shooting a video, or just when using Life View, the battery is "eaten up" at a time, but this is more likely a lack of battery capacity, and not of the camera as a whole :) And yes, the camera is for taking pictures, not shooting video, but still convenient when everything is at hand. - It's still a battery. By including Life View in the camera, the battery could have been supplied with a larger capacity. Although just for the photo is enough for the eyes. - When shooting Full HD video at 30 fps in NTSC mode only. In PAL mode 25 frames per second.

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

I bought this device specifically for shooting my young children. Chose between D700, D7000, fifth Mark Twain and 600D? mark and 600d did not pass the competitive selection for chromatic aberration, d700 poor detail. In the final, the D7000 lost due to grease getting on the mirror (according to reviews), but under our service conditions this will be a problem. The photos come out great. Despite the popular belief that it is not the camera that photographs, but the photographer, I will say for…

Pros
  • Today I've been shooting with this camera for half a year, according to the counter of 12022 frames - everything works just perfect. Compact, lightweight, all kinds of auto and manual modes, excellent HDR. Great camera photoshop.
Cons
  • There is no live histogram, the battery charge indicator is not informative, focusing in video mode is weak, the microphone picks up the sound of the focusing motor. Not Russified program ViewNX 2.

The best product, from those that I have viewed, I advise everyone!

I chose between Canon 600D and D5100 (like many). Tip: hold one and the other in your hands and it seems to me that the choice is much easier to make. When I first got acquainted with the camera, I immediately noticed a more impressive weight (comparing with the 600D from Canon) and perfect build quality (albeit a plastic case). The process of working with the device is a pleasure. Rate of fire, focus (although someone complains), battery - at the highest level. A simple example: the first…
