A good product, more pros than cons.

When buying, I made a choice between d5100 and d3100. I decided that the advantages that are presented in the d5100 are insignificant for me and it does not make sense to overpay money for them. I used to use a regular digital soap box. I was pleasantly surprised by the possibilities of the RAW format. If you made a little mistake with the shooting parameters (overexposure or vice versa underexposure), then you can correct it in a graphical editor. Also, there is no need to think about white…

Pros
  • For a SLR camera, compact size and weight low price
Cons
  • No time-lapse capability

You can argue for a long time about the pros and cons of this device, but let's take a sober look. Before us is a budget semi-professional model. Her difference from Prof. The newcomer will not notice the device. What is the difference anyway? Matrix size, number of megapixels, number of buttons. Prof. cameras are needed by professionals who earn their living from this. You won’t need high-resolution photos in everyday life, even if you want to seriously engage in photo art (of course, if you…

Pros
  • Price, quality, ergonomics (although, a moot point. I have small hands, so it’s comfortable for me), weight, and, of course, the quality of the photo, although again, it all depends on the optics and your skill and desire.
Cons
  • again, ergonomics - if you have large hands, then most likely you will be uncomfortable. but you can get used to it. not the best display.

The best thing for the money, I'm glad I chose this option.

Nikon d3100 is my first DSLR. Ideal for both beginners and experienced amateur photographers. It has all the necessary settings and functions to create beautiful pictures. Many complain about the lack of bracketing, but for example I shoot in raw, so its absence does not bother me. As for video recording, he writes short, staged videos perfectly. Focus must be set manually.

Pros
  • 1. Photo quality. 2. Qualitatively assembled camera body. 3. 100% adequate price (at least before the dollar jump). 4. The presence of all the necessary settings and functions for a beginner and amateur photographer. 5. High-quality video recording (with reservations). 6. Ergonomics.
Cons
  • 1. The cover for the memory card compartment is a little loose. 2. No IR port.

I am happy with everything, the product matches the description.

Everything is known in comparison, when I bought it, it cost under 19 thousand. I then had a Samsung WB2022 soap dish and was pleased with it, but lacked detail. In general, compared with any soap box up to 16 thousand, heaven and earth. Even compared to a competitor in the same price range as Canon, thanks to a higher quality kit lens. My future camera will be Nikon d5200 - a much cooler autofocus system, you don’t have to shoot the same thing 10 times, hoping that the camera will shoot…

Pros
  • size, it's small and that's a plus weight, yes yes, even compared to a soap dish comfortable grip excellent photo quality for its price (13-15t.) a good kit lens that can achieve sharp shots battery - I don’t really shoot video, in photo mode the battery hasn’t run out for me yet (up to 700 photos in RAW is easy)
Cons
  • The video quality isn't much better than my old soapbox, which didn't have a wildly crunchy autofocus motor that was very slow and loud (and you can hear it on the video!). Shoot them video only with manual focus! Autofocus is very flimsy, 1 cross point is still normal, the rest focus at random. Having bought 35mm autofocus misses became even more at all apertures. Perhaps front focus, but in this carcass you can not adjust it. The screen - yes, yes, the screen is bad, even to view the captured photos, you won’t understand whether the photo turned out to be sharp or blurry, an increase to 100% generally shows squares that are not in the photo.

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

The camera has been used for almost a year for various purposes, reliable, strong assembly. Great pictures of excellent quality. Copes with different tasks even with a whale lens. Mainly used for landscapes, vacation photography and portraits. I don’t demand anything supernatural from photography, because I am an amateur and the goals are mostly amateur. So the camera at this stage fully satisfies all needs. In the future, I may buy a lens and a flash.

Pros
  • A good camera, high-quality pictures of various formats (so far only a whale lens)
Cons
  • Might need a spare battery just in case.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It's not all bad, an average quality purchase.

In general, photos are obtained in excellent quality only on the street with excellent lighting! As many said / wrote, sometimes it really crunches somehow strangely when you often work with a lens, which is very scary, it does not give any pleasure. A couple of times I even refused to take pictures in the shade. The camera is not mine, girlfriends. For the family, too, but for those who are a little more than a beginner, I don’t recommend it, although you can take it as the first SLR, but…

Pros
  • very good quality of videos and photos taken outdoors, excellent bokeh
Cons
  • the quality of photographs taken with a flash is poor, terrible in dark lighting, carrot-colored skin in room lighting

I definitely recommend buying, I didnt notice any disadvantages.

I am very glad that I bought it)) I chose between him and Canon 550d . I chose Nikon, because it’s a hundred easier to use) this is my first DSLR, for beginners it’s a treasure! everything is clear, at the same time there are a lot of functions. can be a replacement for an expensive DSLR, for such a price a very good device) the pictures are amazing, even in my hands)

Pros
  • price, assembly, fits perfectly in the hand, all buttons are available) image quality
Cons
  • there is no rope for the lens cap, it seems like a trifle, but it's a shame, because I lost it in the second week of use (

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

Good camera. A wonderful DSLR for beginners and amateurs. Who knows what focus, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. are. Be sure to buy memory for it for 8-16 Gb class 10. Get the full instructions on the Nikon website, And you will be happy! Whale glass is good. I bought a NIKON AF-S 55-200 mm f / 4-5.6G IF-ED DX VR Zoom for it, which I am satisfied with for the summer. I plan to buy a fast aperture NIKON 35mm f / 1.8G AF-S DX Nikkor. Be sure to buy an external flash. Pictures will…

Pros
  • Great camera for a DSLR, light and handy! Rate of fire 3 frames! The presence of red focus points is convenient (aka Canon 500D)! High ISO noise levels. Nikon gave a new modern matrix for free! in the amateur segment. Matrix is great! Comfortable eyecup.(Who uses glasses) I agree that among DSLRs up to 22-23000. super. Screen 230000 dots but, the viewing angle is class, and clear. Japanese company, Thai assembly (In a word - Nikon) I agree. I agree almost completely on the points above. The battery is almost enough for a session. Approximately 200-250 photos. (If you have external puff, then more.) I think Nikon akuma clamped. But it charges quickly. Excellent value for money and quality. Possibility of good photo editing in the device. Video recording Full HD 1920x1080. The whale lens is excellent + stabilizer (when compared with competitors. Programmable Fn button (although there are only four parameters - not many. electronic rangefinder (help with manual focus). Ability to connect an optional GPS-module. (But this is not the main thing). Lever Live View convenient (who without nails). Viewing and editing pictures is convenient.
Cons
  • 1) Motorless carcass ! 2) Dark viewfinder (comparing Canon 450D). But it doesn't stop me from focusing. 3) Continuous shooting 3 frames / sec and no exposure bracketing. 4) The sound during video shooting is monophonic (But I don’t shoot video). 5) Weak battery when shooting video and using Live View!. 6) Lack of white balance and exposure bracketing (but this can be "tweaked" after the shot. 7) Dear Nikon lenses! (with a NIKON AF 50 mm f/1.8 D lens, autofocus will not work! :{ Autofocus works Only with AF-S lenses. But you can focus by hand. 8) No swivel display. Screen 230,000 dots. 9) Few Fn buttons. Long choose the options in the menu. 10) Canon's right hand grip is more comfortable (for my grip). When I take the camera out of my bag or put it in my bag, the camera power button will turn itself on, which is unpleasant. In my opinion, the power button is not located there, comparing with Canon cameras.

Perfect product for any user!

I myself sat on the forums 3 days ago, chose between Pentax kr, compared the pictures, approximately the same, I took Nikon, so far I don’t regret it a bit ! I figured out the settings, again everything is thought out. My first SLR. Friends tried to dissuade, like why do you need to carry it, take it with a normal zoom, compact, etc., but I decided for myself that I want to enjoy the photo, the quality The most important thing is to decide what it is for. Good luck to all! good photos!

Pros
  • The quality after soap dishes is simply an order of magnitude better, or even more. I liked it very much! Everything is in its place, everything is done for people.
Cons
  • not yet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

This is my first SLR and it completely triples me. I took it with a whale with an 18-105 lens. I have been using it for more than six months, and the desire to take pictures is growing more and more. I already purchased an external flash for it (at first I took the YN-467, but it was wildly buggy, I changed it under warranty for another of the same kind - again glitches, but of a different nature. As a result, I took the Nissin 622 Mark 2 - and everything fell into place, I recommend ), now…

Pros
  • Soundly made, nice downed plastic, convenient menu, low noise level at high ISO.
Cons
  • The screen resolution is low, the dimensions are small, there is nowhere to place the little finger, it is hard to hold it together with an external flash.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

It seems to me that Nikon is bought by pragmatists who know exactly what is needed from him. Of course, you come across homegrown teenage critics who, instead of doing what the camera is intended for, begin to look for assembly and functional flaws in it. The camera is ideal for beginners, and not only, expanding professional skills is decided by buying a faster lens .I recommend to everyone who wants to get beautiful photos for the family and not only.

Pros
  • Nikon 3100 has everything (well, or 95%) that you need for everyday tasks. Excellent ergonomics. Excellent kit lens. Excellent image quality (if your hands grow from there). Pleases externally and pleasant tactile sensations.
Cons
  • I won’t write nonsense about backlash and bracketing - this is paranoia. Well, tell me how the backlash of the gas tank cap can affect the operation of the car. It is similar here. You need a more powerful flash for reportage shooting, there are no wires in the kit to work with a computer.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Do not hesitate to buy, the quality is amazing for the price.

The first month after the acquisition, I shot on a kit lens 18-55, the quality is good, but it is dark. Then I bought a Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8. The lack of autofocus is not at all embarrassing, it even helps the process of shooting and learning a little. There are no complaints about the camera - for 3.5 months it worked at 100% and caused wild delight. Soon I'm going to buy a Nikon 55-200 in addition to the kit, to expand the possibilities.

Pros
  • Small dimensions, fits comfortably in the hand, rubberized handle is more convenient than plastic. Convenient control - turned it on, set it up the way you need, and then take pictures, changing the shutter speed, aperture and something set to the third button (in my case it is iso) - this is another convenience - there are no extra buttons that can confuse, and are not particularly needed for a beginner. The quality of the pictures is, perhaps, its main plus! And I'm not talking about 14mp, I myself set the size of the pictures to medium (3456 * 2304). The whale lens is very good - the colors are beautiful, although the autofocus misses a little (I shoot manually). There is no noise at all up to iso 800, at 1600 they are almost invisible, and in capable hands Hi2 will be noise-free.
Cons
  • Despite the fact that I called its dimensions a virtue, it still sometimes seems small and uncomfortable. (well, that's more of a quibble) The viewfinder is small, which also sometimes causes inconvenience.

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I liked it for a long time, I recently bought it. Many say that Canon is better, I don’t know, for me Nikon is the coolest company). I recommend to buy! Very suitable for beginners. He is simply in circulation and in general. But friends, of course, as "experts" were clever, like the camera is so-so. They put a big opinion on themselves. Well, there is no comrade for the taste and color! The camera is screwed up. I'm happy.

Pros
  • Good quality, flash, convenient menu, shooting switch (i. E. take pictures from the screen or look through the peephole), lens.
Cons
  • brakes in P, S, M modes and lubricates. and the display distorts the photos. looks different on a computer

The purchase did not bring joy, the product is bad.

I took this model with Nikon 18-105 vr optics. after a year of use, the lens falls off by itself right during shooting from a height of a person. I turned to the store where I bought it, they took it away, they said everything would be done under the guarantee, when the camera returned from repair, they provided an invoice of 5500. Was shocked! it turns out that I loosened all the mounts myself, so I took the lens off too often (in fact, I didn’t take it off even once in a year, as they put it…

Pros
  • good pictures, but I would say ordinary . 2 year warranty!
Cons
  • 1- WEIGHT is very heavy (at least for a girl, half an hour of shooting and the arm falls off) 2- plastic mount (a year later, the lens fell off by itself right during the shooting)

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

I have been using this model for over 6 months. like everything very much. as mentioned below, that the cap does not inspire confidence there, that there is no cord on the lens cap, this is not so important. I was looking for it in the city for a long time with a 105mm lens and yet I found it :) the only thing that infuriates me is that you can’t buy a filter because of the lens diameter of 67mm. and so I advise everyone to buy a model who thinks about "yes" or "no")

Pros
  • Everything is very, very pleasant. Very easy to operate. Lightweight in hand. Very good for a starter camera. Both BASIC and RAW + F photos are awesome. (of course, in the basic, when approaching, the views are pixels, but in the equal there are simply no words)
Cons
  • "buzzing" when shooting video in auto mode and expensive spare batteries (but its enough to take a walk around the city, and somewhere on the excursion to mourn the objects you like)

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, I recommend it to everyone!

I don’t understand what “for this money” means. I don’t see much difference in the quality of the photos taken on the D3100, D5100, D7000. This is the most important thing, but the fact that there are a little more baubles on “advanced” cameras is show-off! , the more reliable! And overpaying for the dubious pleasure of having a swivel screen, and a couple of extra 10-20tr megapixels is stupid!

Pros
  • Everything is just super! Lies like a glove, Clear menu, High-quality assembly, signature Nikon quality of photos without reservations "for this price"!
Cons
  • Whale lens at the short end often misses autofocus in poor light

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

The device is positioned by NIKON as a family device - the size is larger than soap dishes, but smaller than professional ones. The quality of the pictures is much better than on the "soap box" (the nickname stuck, apparently due to the characteristic blurry quality of the pictures :)). Do not rush to throw away the soap dish - when riding a bicycle, for example, the D3100 will still be heavy :(. But I personally already threw out the video camera (even when I bought a CANON IXUS 100…

Pros
  • 1. Small, light - compared to older models. Quick focus, good rate of fire - in comparison with "soap dishes" :). 2. Video - 1080 lines, 24 frames per second. - normal. 3. A nice feature - focus points flash red lights in the center when autofocus is triggered. 4. Good viewing angles of the screen - when shooting "overhead" in LiveView mode, everything is perfectly visible. A swivel screen is not required. 5. High ISO - working. Noise is noticeable only at high magnification.
Cons
  • 1. The size of the device is well suited for a small palm (almost perfect for a woman). Therefore, I mainly hold the lens with my left hand. 2. The video button is combined with the LiveView lever - it is difficult to push through with your thumb (due to the size) - you have to use your fingernail. 3. The moves of the control buttons and menus are small, without "clicks".

A good and high-quality product, but there are disadvantages.

For a long time I wanted to buy a good camera for my son, but there was no time for shopping, and then I found a good camera on the Internet on aliexpress. I decided to try to buy it. And I was not disappointed. how it works and how you can get it at home. The sellers are very polite and correct. And the son is very pleased with the camera, the photo is taken wherever he wants and the pictures are of high quality and bright. I also want to tell you about the different videos shot on this…

Pros
  • Easy to use, high quality photos
Cons
  • No

One of the best deals, glad I bought this.

I bought this camera about 2.5 years ago. So far satisfied with the purchase. For novice users (amateur photographers) a very suitable option! For such a long service life, the Nikon D3100 has never found defects; worked properly. Image quality is good. In general, this model fully justifies its price. For beginners it will be very useful. Take it - you won't regret it! Compact and handy. Light in weight, easy to use. BONUS! Advice for newbies: shoot in manual mode (adjust ISO, aperture and…

Pros
  • - Light in weight - Easy to operate - Decent price - For beginners - just right - Holds a charge for a long time - Adequate and good picture - Meets all expectations - Durable with careful use
Cons
  • not revealed!

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

for such a ridiculous price, the camera is just a fairy tale! If you choose the first DSLR, feel free to take the d3100 when I bought it, it cost 23 thousand, and even then it justified its price. I do not advise taking it to those who are going to buy additional optics, or to take photography seriously in the future. Well suited as a family camera if you know basic concepts like shutter speed / aperture / ISO, etc. and know how to use it - the shots will be excellent. Good for family use…

Pros
  • price, colors, sharpness, guide mode, video, fits well in the hand, understandable for a beginner
Cons
  • after 8 months of use, the focus ring on the whale began to hang out, the cover of the flash drive was loose - but this did not bother me much.
