Description of 🔭 Nikon 7583 MONARCH 5 20x56 Binocular (Black) - Superior Optics for Incredible Viewing Experience

All MONARCH 5 binoculars are now built with Nikon's legendary ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass lenses, which correct chromatic aberrations across the furthest limits of the visible light range and effectively compensate for color fringing. Dielectric High-Reflective Multilayer Prism Coatings are applied to all lenses and prism coatings to provide high-contrast images and accurate color reproduction. Massive 56mm objective lenses provide superior light gathering ability for overcoming less than ideal lighting conditions.

Great binoculars - good for general and weak sky viewing

These are great, versatile binoculars. Fantastic for all-round vision as well as for observing the sky in poor visibility. They are relatively light for their size and easy to adjust. If you're looking for binoculars that can do it all, then this is it. 5 star product.

Pros
  • Good thing

  • Infinitely slow

Excellent factory overhaul.

So we all want great quality, great design and value for money. So here's my review: No tripod required. I have had 20x binoculars for decades. These are excellent binoculars. Came with a case, a great neoprene strap and a tripod adapter which I'll probably never use. My pair has been factory restored. and Nikon does a great job with their repairs. Every man should have a pair of good binoculars!

  • Nice thing

Another solid Nikon product

Nikon fan so there is a bit of bias in this review. I like a lot of these products and the only issue I had was the focus wheel, but for the price you got it's not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison, but the Nikon handles chromatic abrasion better than the Vortex the Viper series (which is odd because I'm pretty sure it's the same glass in both cases). Don't put them next to Leica's LOL or you'll realize your mistakes and make the best of them, but they hold up and I love looking at them

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Security

Compete with the Vortex Kaibab

These powerful binoculars are great for hunting and any outdoor adventure. I set up my Nikon 20x56 on a tripod around 5am and scanned the entire ridgeline, seeing a few moose and whitetails 800-1900 yards away. Low-light spread is pretty good, although the image with the 20x optic is a bit dimmer than the elusive Vortex Kaibab, which sells for $1,200. For quality glass, these Nikons show a wide range of colors and depths in low light. Weight is moderate. Obviously at 20x magnification these…

Very good binoculars, suitable for binoculars and scopes

I've been using it for about a month now and every time I get it I like it better. Clear, bright, powerful, easy to use. Out of curiosity, I went to a large sporting goods store whose name begins with the letter "C" to compare it to more expensive (or just more expensive) glass. We ended up comparing Nikon Monarch 5 10x42 ($329) with Swarovski SLC HD 10x42 ($1800) and Vortex Razor HD 10x42 ($1000). I had to compare smaller binoculars as neither Swaro nor Vortex had comparable 20x56s and had to…
