Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good purchase.

After five years of using the second version, I decided to buy this brother. Although the previous one was a great option, this one is really improved. Autofocus and vibration reduction are faster, quieter, and the picture is sharper even at the edges. Brings the subject closer. It seems that here it is not 200 mm, but 250. My opinion about it is for professionals. For beginners and intermediates, VRII is also quite suitable (also a very decent lens that has not been discontinued yet)

Pros
  • Sharp, even at the edges of the frame. The subject has become somehow closer, in an increased size compared to the previous VRII. 100 grams lighter
Cons
  • Although it is lighter by 100 grams than the second version, but one fig it is heavy. You walk with him for half a day and you already feel the weight. The price for it is good, just for home photography this is not worth buying. Also worth noting is the transfer of the focus ring to the end of the lens. Why the developers did this - I still do not understand.

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Has some pros Uncompromising detail at the edges of the frame. Constant aperture over the entire variable focal length, the ability to finally work with a two-fold teleconverter and have a maximum and constant aperture of f 5.6, moderately acceptable losing quality and having a zoom of 140-400 mm of focal length, respectively. That allows you to increase the distance to the subject of shooting, which means to maintain greater invisibility in shooting ungulates, birds and cats, to ensure a safe

FAST focusing speed is the best in DSLR lenses

Focusing speed is easily 5x faster than the Tamron 24-70 2.8 I usually shoot with. It stays clean to the brim as expected. When shooting at an airshow, focus speed was of paramount importance. I missed a few shots a year ago with other lenses that didn't focus as quickly. It was in the time it took me to notice lens blur, focus flat and then just hold to zoom in. I paired it with the D750 case. It's not the best lens to walk around with, though, as it's telephoto and everything if you'reโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • Communication with seller

This is one of Nikon's most outstanding lenses

This lens is very sharp and clear. This is a quality build that lives up to all the professional reviewers' opinions on performance. I'm an amateur photographer and I can immediately tell the difference in focus speed and image quality right out of the box. The most amazing thing is how close this lens focuses. I would say it's a replacement for a macro lens, but it's not a macro lens. It's pretty close. I personally like to use this lens for fashion and nature photography. It's big but wellโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • boring packaging

Fast and fun camera lens

The lens is sharp. The lens is fast. Fixed focus breathing. Excellent. Now the downside: My subject was blurred in the right 1/4 of the frame. The center and left sides are ideal, the right side is blurry compared to the left - this is noticeable at f/2.8, f/4. Possibly a quality control issue. But do you expect such a problem from a lens at this price point? Unfortunately had to send it back, I'll try again next time. To update. Ordered this lens. This time the lens does not have this defectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Sometimes the phrase "you get what you pay for " rings true.

Make no mistake, this isn't a cheap lens. And there are plenty of sharp lenses that are many times cheaper than this lens. However, there's a reason almost all Nikon pros carry it in their camera bag, and that's because there's not much that this lens can do. I currently only have two lenses (this and a 24-70 f/2.8E VR) and they cover all my needs. I've tried to save money here and there in the past based on things like lab testing (hey, this 24-120 performed just as well as the 24-70 up toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to say

A modern lens that works well with all Nikon teleconverters

As a former owner of the Nikon 70-200f2.8 VRII, I was aware of the positives and negatives of this iconic lens. In 2013 I sold this lens in favor of the f4. The smaller, lighter and cheaper Nikon 70-200f4 outperformed its big brother in every way except for the maximum aperture. I felt like I could live with the F4 until I saw the specs and reviews of Nikon's latest offering, the 70-200 f2.8E FL ED VR. Nikon's claim to this is phenomenal. Seems like they not only fixed what we all didn't likeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
