I have good quality brushes that were salvaged from an old vacuum that had the standard 'smooth tubular' ends that just had to be pushed together to attach and I couldn't use them with my new Dyson use because its nozzles "snap in". This connector solved my problem! Works great with my Dyson canister vacuum.

Works great. As I expected. This adapter connects to a new type of Dyson nozzle (with a locking knob) giving you a handpiece that fits many Dyson and non-Dyson vacuum nozzles. It goes with my Rainbow baits and my Oreck baits. I think the tip size of the mount is 32mm.

Have 2 vintage Dyson vacuums. I've never been able to use them properly on vacuum bags, but with this addition I can. It was the only reason I bought it to vacuum compress clothes and bedding for storage and it's perfect for that. It also matches the color of the vacuum cleaner, which is nice. It fits looser than other attachments. I'm not sure, but if you were to use it for a different purpose you might notice some loss of suction.

I've only used it for about an hour so I can't comment on durability but it works well. The fit is a little tight - it doesn't have the firm "click" of the Dyson brand attachment - but it works well. More importantly, you can use 1-1/4" or 32mm third-party vacuums and attachments with your Dyson cylinder vacuum. I use it with a regular hardwood floor tool and it works great. The floor nozzle is more than double that expensive as this adapter, and the all-in-one tool - if this adapter holds up -

Exactly what we need. Inherited the DC58, like new but only has a short tool - found the lack of an extension tube very limiting for the little functionality of just a short tool. This allows you to use a standard extension tube and attachments from an old vacuum. Now there are many more features. The machine has enough suction to handle the extension and floorhead so it's odd that Dyson didn't include it. They aren't even made for this model. Terrible. I will never buy a Dyson - at the prices…

Just to confirm this actually fits my Dyson v6 Top Dog DC58 handheld and then fits my standard wall mounted vacuum. FINALLY I can use my standard brush and upholstery tool. I've loved my various Dysons over the years, but some of their attachments are just too cluttered (redesigned) and just don't fit in many places.
