Suitable for kayaks for canvas and ties

I love these straps for tying our kayaks. Prevents damage to the kayak compared to ratchet straps that are too tight. PLUS a nice rubber basket around the latch protects the kayak from scratches. It is great.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • There are cons

High-quality protective screed!

Tired of the wind. I wanted a tether that could also protect what I was tying. This is a very good quality tie. After receiving it, I liked it so much that I bought two more!

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged

car saver! - Tarpaulin and attachments

Can be easily stowed in the truck and takes up little space. Long enough to still use it. I could tie a lot of things when I moved and this little guy could keep everything in my car. I would choose the longer option but it still works.

Pros
  • Stable construction
Cons
  • Has some defects

Easy to use on gear

I confess I couldn't see the top and bottom of my old belts. When I wasn't wearing glasses, I was never sure if I put the straps on correctly. These are attachment straps and they appear to be secure. Solid construction and exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Strange strap and won't hold up

To call this an easy task would be an understatement. The strap that goes through the locking mechanism is odd and won't stay on. I would only use them to loosely attach items in my car. A slight tug and the strap slips off the movement. They look good but I would NOT recommend them if you want a strong or reliable strap.

Pros
  • Fits me great
Cons
  • unreliable

Great straps - I'm turning into a super fan of Nite-Ize

This was definitely an upgrade from the old Walmart specials we had before. They are very well made, well designed and I particularly appreciate the rubber backing which keeps the metal buckles from rubbing against anything. Pretty convenient and small enough to carry around in the car all the time. i can't win (Don't forget to buy two! One per pack.)

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Ideal for transporting surfboards

I have been surfing for 35 years and have used many straps to attach surfboards to cars. These are the best I've ever used: strong, easy to tie loose ends, easy to tighten. The only problem I have is that the ends aren't melted properly; they wear out. A cigarette lighter flame will fix this. We just used the straps for a 250 mile hike. As you can see we used chopped pasta for the pillows. Worked great. The boards have never been so firmly connected to the machine as they are here.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Crumpled

I really wanted to love it.

Rounded edges, protective rubber backing, cool colors. What's not to love, right? OK, I'll tell you. it was very difficult to thread, tighten and loosen! This made me think I must have screwed it up somehow, but I've been using camlocks and ratchet straps for a long time and have never had a problem. I double checked my work, deleted it, redid it, then asked someone to do it. NO! THIS BELT IS A PIT Maybe, just maybe, I have a broken one. But I've already disposed of the packaging and need…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Quality
