Great deal for a tiny desktop amp for listening to files. if you want and can turn down the volume of the source

For the price, I give this thing 4 stars. I use it for close range (computer desk) and the thing can easily get too loud for that. Leaving the volume at 100% on the computer source becomes a big problem: the knob rotates in a range of about 270 degrees, and I'd say maybe 60 degrees when rotated, it's fine for my use too loud. exacerbate the problem As others have noted there is a channel imbalance issue with the potentiometer so one channel is much quieter until you turn it about 40 degrees. So

Sounds good, works cool, durable, tiny; The reviews are a little deceiving

Edit: If you look at the datasheet for this chip (TPA3116D2) you can see that when driving an 8 ohm speaker it actually dissipates 30 watts per channel and requires a 24V supply voltage. It only achieves 50 watts per channel with 21V and a 4 ohm speaker and requires a heatsink which I don't really have. The description is a bit misleading. Keep in mind, that this thing won't drive large speakers at high volume without significant clipping and distortion. Just received it and installed it using…

Unlike many of the other products on Revain and other websites that make unsubstantiated claims for maximum power output, the information in Revain's listing for the Nobsound amp is correct - as through The review of the TPA3116D2 was confirmed datasheet on the TI website.
