If you keep them under 1600 rpm they are good and quiet. At maximum power, they hum a little and sound like an oscillating fan. Otherwise they are not cheap. Don't buy this just because you want a quiet system. Just to let others know that this fan is quieter than other fans with similar specs doesn't mean it's a silent fan in any way. The only reason to buy this fan is for performance. If you need a quiet fan, noctua also has other fans for that. But overall this is the best fan I could find for my needs compared to Corsair and nzxt fans. That doesn't mean that other fans don't work for you.

Spins at over 2000 rpm, quiet even at maximum speed. Well built, always perfect out of the box. Many fans are great, but none of them can compete with the Noctua 120mm. Yes they are more expensive, yes they are hard to find in different sizes. You get what you pay for and for overclockers they are just as important as your primary cooling solution, be it AIO or open loop. The accuracy is also very well reproducible. If you adjust the fan speed, it is in the range of about 10%.

I was searching the market for a high bandwidth 140mm fan for my case. I had an 86CFM fan, this one spins 109CFM. Quieter than my previous fan. If there is too much noise at 2000RPM I would suggest just tweaking the PWM/"smart fan" or setting the fans to Quiet/Normal/Performance. Great product, I will buy again.
