Better than all-in-ones in Computers & Accessories

I didn't like that my AMD 2700X was running 75-78C under load, so I thought about upgrading the stock cooler. Initially, I was interested in monoblocks, but in addition to fans, I was concerned with pumps, additional noise, the possibility of water getting on the electronics and additional component failures. made me look for alternatives. I had my eye on the Noctua D15 but gave it up because of the price but ended up going back to it. I needed the best cooling I could get and this seemed like…

Best air cooler for CPU!

CPU cooler works great! Even at 100% speed, the fans are silent. Significantly quieter than the Cooler Master Lite 240 AIO I replaced. Both coolers worked flawlessly, keeping my Ryzen 7 1700 @ 3.5GHz @ 1.275V below 70 degrees C running Cinebench continuously for 30 minutes and 30 minutes of 4k video rendering. The idle temperature is 30-31 ° C, ambient temperature. about 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Your results may vary. In the end either cooler will work and it comes down to personal preference and

Exactly what I expected

Installation was easy, no problems with the bracket on my Ryzen 7 1700x. I currently have NO OC on the chip, but am planning a 4.0 GHz OC. Installation took about 10 minutes even with the motherboard attached to my case. Installing a smaller Noctua fan in another system and an AIO H100i v2 was pretty intuitive. Speaking of temperature, Ryzen 7 processors will report 20 degrees C "HIGHER” than their actual temperatures. There are many articles about it with a quick google search. This is to…

This cooler is *huge* but easy to install and even easier to remove

This cooler is *huge* but easy to install and even easier to remove! Detachable dual NF-A15 fans for installation and cleaning* Quick installation guide, easy installation* Easy-to-clean Corsair Vengence DDR4 LPX top with space* Vertical or horizontal installation (airflow can be up<->down or front<->back ) * Fan clips give you the freedom to direct and position airflow. I can't find much about this cooler other than its size. This can make installing new RAM difficult, but not…

It fits much better than I expected

The instructions weren't very good on some things. 1.) The airflow direction isn't in it at all and it's hard to figure out by looking at the actual fan housing, but there is an arrow at the bottom that you don't normally see when pouring. The only other problem I had was that I initially put 4 long screws on the wrong side of the motherboard and then it's a bit difficult to align and screw the 4 grommets (one at a time) with the properly aligned mounting rods (Original) support plate. it just…

Great cooler, a bit fiddly to install

Awesome. I was able to drop the temperature by about 15 degrees Celsius compared to the standard Wraith Spire. Running my Ryzen processor at 3.8 GHz at 60 degrees Celsius during the Prime95 stress test. At idle it's about 30-35. When I play PUBG or Overwatch at max settings, my CPU runs between 40 and 50 seconds. 3.8 GHz) Noctua was still 10 degrees cooler than when using the Wraith Spire. Don't get me wrong, the Wraith Spire is a great cooler because it's stock, but I was able to run lower…

Maybe an exaggeration, but it's cool!

I've just put together my first rig and I'm using a Ryzen 7 1700. While running various stress tests, I had the feeling that the CPU gets a bit warm with the stock cooler, even with the fan on runs at full speed, so between 2700-2800 rpm So I decided to upgrade the cooler. I run OCed at 3.7 GHz at 1.26875 volts. For stress tests I use CPU-Z and Cinebench R15. Standard cooler with reasonable fan curve (as fast as possible, inaudible 50% I think), idle was around 40C, sometimes as high as 38C…

Just the Facts - Computers and Accessories

I'll try to be brief. I've worked with laptops for 6 years because I had a need for mobility that trumped all other concerns. Lately that requirement has disappeared, so I've decided to build the best possible PC within reasonable bounds. The AIO piqued my curiosity and thought the NZXT Kraken x62 would be the best cooling solution for my 2700x. This was problematic for a number of reasons, the biggest of which was the noise profile. The sound of the pump annoyed me. Now, the computer was so…
