For use on new wooden stair treads

Very good product which would be great to put on brand new wooden stair treads - mine are old and have numerous scratches and dents causing the tape to show every scratch power. and ringing in the form of a white bubble or line. This product sticks well (almost too well, you have to place it right the first time, if not and you try to reposition it will lift the stair step surface). They were very slip resistant but after installing three I took them because they looked very worn due to the…

REMOVE BUBBLES

REMOVE AIR BUBBLES.1) Do not tear off the back of the paper completely. Do it piece by piece. I do 4 sections per strip. 2) When applying, do not stretch it like a rubber band, it will stretch and create bubbles. Simply lower without tension. 3) IMPORTANT: When attaching the section, grab the roller and roll in one direction ONLY. Roll towards the unused section. This will allow the air to escape.4) How to get rid of blisters: You will need needle nose pliers (best) or regular pliers. Then buy…

They are the best building materials

When one of my older dogs started sliding up and down the stairs, he hesitantly began walking up and down them. After installation, she no longer slips like before and confidence returns to her. Most of the steps I've found cover a small portion of the stairway. I was delighted to stumble upon these 32-inch models that almost entirely hit the bottom of each tier. Preparation and application are the key to a good result. Be sure to thoroughly sweep and clean each step before even attempting to…

Saving lives step by step

I ran to the lobby to my wife's screams. Fearing the worst, I had my phone ready to dial 911 and my heart was pounding so fast I could barely open the case to dial the numbers. Luckily there was no blood and she only slipped on one of the bottom steps, not the top one, which would have been a lot worse. However, she landed right on the edge of the step and was unable to get up and continued to cry in pain. After making sure nothing was broken, I helped her to the couch where she lay down and…

Prevents my Boxer from falling down the stairs

I went completely insane this week when my older Boxer fell down the stairs and knocked over some plants. Luckily she was fine, but she was very shocked and scared. I went to 3 carpet shops that morning and they had nothing for the stairs to prevent falling. Then I started searching online and stumbled across it and ordered right away. They arrived today and I immediately installed them using the video provided. I removed the backing from one end and used a roller to smooth it out while…

Stairs are much safer now

We replaced the carpeting on our staircase with oak to match the adjoining living room. The result is nice, but we didn't think of one thing: now they can be slippery. We adults had no problem on the stairs, but our dog (12lb Shih Tzu) slipped and fell down the stairs a few times. Thankfully he was unharmed but refused to go down the stairs and we had to carry him. We quickly realized that this could also be a problem for small children or people with walking difficulties if they wear socks…
