I use them as block mats

First of all I have to say that I don't use these blocks as play mats. I use them as locking boards for my knitting. If you are looking for these as blocking mats they work great. They are durable, and while easy to apply, they hold up very well to repeated use. They snap together easily and are easy to fold and store away when not in use. Prevents our baby from getting hurt when rolling back.

VERY happy with this set. We originally bought three sets but when they arrived I ordered two more sets and had them set up. They are thick, 10mm, which is important for a charming house with a 7 month old wooden floor. Even though we have mats, while sitting, our son fell onto his back and hit his head. He had a headache and cried constantly. After this happened twice, I ordered the CubZone Play Pad and these puzzle pieces to provide a larger pad. It helped a lot. Our son still rolls backwards

There was no smell when opening the packages like some you buy in store

There was no smell when opening the packages like some you buy in store. I bought three sets for my 6 month old daughter when she started crawling. We don't have a carpet, so I wanted her to play with a little pillow. Can also be used as a training mat for adults. Now, when my baby is 8 months old, she takes the squares apart, chews them and carries them around the house. None have cracked or broken yet. Great for imaginative play, limited space for multiple children and just for fun.

I got this after seeing the mat the caregiver used to keep the child in their own space which helped keep the boundaries of not just one child but several. They were smaller than I expected (it's my fault for not reading carefully), but when assembled in blocks of four or more, they work just like the rug she used. I was just shocked when my grandkids liked them. Two of them prefer video games. All three play with it all the time. They like to make squares, rectangular blocks, small car tents…
