🔶 Norcold Inc. Refrigerators 619042 Left Spring Holder Assembly in Yellow: Top-quality Replacement Part for Enhanced Functionality Review

Cheaply made. Not sure if it's factory or fake, but where the spring is held at a 90 degree angle, that area broke after about 4 gentle strokes of the freezer door. I had to remove it and put the spring back in and it will probably slip again. Really bad design from fridge manufacturer Norcold and the durability of this spring is questionable.

I watched a video on You Tube and installed the part very quickly BUT. But after the first ride it started again. I ordered and installed the same side, then the left one cracked. After playing around with it for a bit (about 30 minutes) I found that the little plastic lip on the part where the spring goes on was cracked. Very, very cheaply made, and the lip is so small it pops out if you put a little pressure on it. Now I had to order the left assembly. Not very happy about that. Remember, if…

I bought the right and left units and a used freezer door as the one on my Dometic fridge broke a long time ago and the previous owner solved it with a piece of PVC pipe . In any case, for mounting on the Dometic I only had to cut off small triangles with a copy saw, which made the hinge surface flat like the Dometic version. Another modification was to deepen the holes in the side panel. Insulation since they are about 1/2" longer than the Dometic I manually used a 3/4" drill bit and just…

I bought a Norcold fridge right and left 619042 (left spring retainer assembly) and 619041 (right spring retainer assembly). The right side, 619041, was packaged with the correct part number and part, but the left side, 619042, had the correct part number on the label, but it is clearly the right spring retainer assembly. I was able to get permission online to return the wrong one and an order was placed to send me the correct one. They appear to be an OEM replacement so we'll see how they work
