I bought Nordic Pure Air Filters 16x24x1 MERV 10. These are very strong filters, the filters do not bend. I used larger brands in comparison and you can easily bend and twist filters and accidentally deform the metal mesh which then needs to be straightened to fit your air conditioner. The packaging is first class, the filters are housed in a very strong and thick cardboard box to minimize damage in transit. The filters are not wrapped in plastic packaging and there are no marks on the filters.

Note that these filters are INTENDED to be installed 1/2 inch down for a reason! House like ours, then cheap builders take as many detours as possible and just cut a hole in the HVAC duct and put the filter in the gap. Channels are measured from the outside and the filter must fit. Often referred to as "US" size filters.
