🔍 Nordic Pure 18x25x1 MERV 8 Pleated Furnace Filter Review

They seem to work better than most brands in the same price range. The MERV 12 rating is quite high and meets most of our needs. I have airflow monitors here and they work fine even if they seem dirty, but once you install anything with a MERV rating above 12 the airflow changes quickly. with low dust accumulation, since the pore size of the filter material is saturated faster and the filters need to be changed more often.

These AC filters are just over half an inch smaller than the label says. I have an 18" x 24" hole, but the filters marked 18" x 24" were only 23 3/8" wide and could be sucked into the vent even if you tried to tape them to hold in place.So I figured I needed an 18x25" filter and ordered the exact same brand in 18x25. They are too big at 3/8" and I was able to fit them with a light crimp. I need a filter that is exactly 24" wide, not 23 3/8 or 24 3/8. I've never had a problem buying 18 x 24" HD…

According to Nordic Pure's customer service, they do not give filters a MERV rating because it is the most cost effective way to manufacture their filters. I have ordered similar filters from companies like AirX and Filtrete and the MERV/Filtration Rating is clearly marked on each filter. The product photo shows a blue label with the brand name and MERV rating on the box. I consider this a scam. How can I be sure that the filters I received and paid extra for are correct?
