What Merv # did I really get? Who knows? You are not marked!

I wish I had read the reviews before buying this one. When I opened the box labeled Merv 12, I saw that none of the filters were actually marked with a Merv number. That confuses me. I noticed that in one of the questions the seller replied that the reason they don't label every filter is to keep costs down. Sorry, I'm calling BS about this. "Merv12" can simply be printed on the filter along with the directional arrow and costs no more, or at least the cost is minimal. Comparing this filter toโ€ฆ

Small size, very high pressure drop at first use. MERV 13 is not the only factor.

I was hoping to find a quality filter under 3M. Nordic Pure is not. /4 (ONE QUARTER) filter area compared to a 3M 2200 filter (Nordic Pure has 25 "pleats", 3M has over 100 pleats.) Why is this a problem? As the filtration efficiency increases (ie captures smaller and smaller particles), it is necessary to increase the surface area. You do this by folding the filter into folds. Why is it important? Because if you only have 25 pleats and high-efficiency filter media, the pressure drop will beโ€ฆ

Non-allergenic

The Nordic Pure Merv 13 air filters are impressive and capture a lot of dust and other contaminants like pollen, but these Merv 12 Nordic Pure Air air filters don't capture dust, which leads me to believe they don't Also don't catch pollen. We decided to try these Merv 12 filters because they were a lot cheaper and thought they would perform the same as the Merv 13, but we couldn't be wrong. Today I replaced our filter and this filter was almost never dirty; it was just light brown. Withโ€ฆ

Beware! Mysterious packaging and fewer wrinkles compared to previous purchases.

I have purchased a pack of 6 Nordic Pure Merv 8 filters 20x25x1 through Revain at least 3 times and have been happy with my purchases. When the Revain purchase arrived, something was clearly different. The Nordic Pure box itself was cardboard-colored, not white. Okay, no problem, maybe it was just eco-friendly packaging. However, when I opened the box, it looked like it had been re-taped after opening it earlier. It seemed strange. My fears increased after opening the box. In previousโ€ฆ
