The Nordic filter is basically the same quality as the factory version, just a lot cheaper. They basically have the same specs and if you compare them physically you will see that the construction is almost identical. This filter is not a cheap replacement for poor quality, it is a more cost effective alternative to a manufacturer filter.

I have bought these several times over the years. Anytime I notice my house getting a little "stuffy," I check the filter and eventually replace it with another one of these. Looking at my purchase history, I probably don't replace them as often as I "should" replace an oven filter, but with a 5 inch filter I don't think you need to replace them as often as I would if you did instead would need 1" or 2" filters. I bought the wrong width. 5 inches seems 2 inches too narrow. I have yet to see if 6 inches is really 6 inches, but I'm hopeful. Anyway, I just tucked them in even though they are 2 inches too tight.
