Norpro Professional Poultry Shears - 10in/25.5cm: Top-Notch Quality as Shown Review

These are the worst kitchen/poultry shears I have ever used. They are not sharp, the blades are too long and my hands hurt when I cut 6 chicken wings. Maybe because I'm left-handed? Do other left handers have the same problem or is it just a terrible waste of money?

I liked the idea of these scissors but they are difficult to hold unless your hands are completely dry. The screw loosens by itself, locking the blade in place. And they don't open on their own after a little use. Check out other shears I've bought for a wide range.

I had high hopes for these scissors with another product review I looked at. I don't like these at all. The blades of the scissors are too thick to cut the innards and joints for the chicken. I'm going to buy another pair of Henckel serrated poultry shears, which have served me well for many years.

If, like me, you prepare a lot of poultry in different ways, then these poultry shears are a must-have in your kitchen. I often grill whole chickens, but the time I prefer to marinate chicken pieces is when this appliance is most useful. Powerful, fast and easy to clean.

Maybe my technique isn't perfect, but I can't cut much with it. They feel heavy, but they don't really cut sharp, and they don't stick together when I try to roughly split the carapace or joints of the bones. Although they look correct, I can't use them for anything. Anyone want to buy cheap chicken shears?

I needed a new cut of chicken and this looked like a winner. Boy was I wrong. Not only does he not butcher the chicken, he doesn't even open the package that contains the chicken! The design of these scissors is a good concept, the metal goes from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle, they should last forever. And since they don't work and aren't used, I'm sure they will last just as long.

Purchased these shears from Revain.com because my other bird shears weren't doing the job properly. These Norpro scissors had an excellent grip and easily cut through the back of a roasted chicken that I was carving into a butterfly. The long handles provided extra leverage and very little pressure was required to slice the bird. Once the chicken was fried, slicing the rest of the fried bird wasn't difficult either. I recommend these scissors to everyone.
