For this siphon to work you have to keep squeezing the bulb or it will stop flowing. This is unlike any other lamp siphon I have ever seen or used. Pretty useless. Unfortunately, I only found out about this after the 30-day return period had expired. Tghey got me hooked.

Attention buyers! It's not a siphon, it's a hand pump. Once you pump it up to get it going, it won't keep flowing on its own. You have to keep squeezing the pump. Only half a shot comes out. It took me just over 30 minutes to fill a 2 gallon gas bottle. This POS goes in the trash.

For draining petrol from a motorcycle tank and generators. The hose is more durable than cheaper products and helps get into some cracks in the motorcycle tank without twisting the hose. With these types of siphons, it's difficult to keep the tubing straight, so thicker tubing works better. The suction power is good here, but for a faster flow it is better to use a larger blower.

If you need to degas your lawnmower, generator, weeder, etc. this works great! The pump lamp is a bit small but overall well made and works. Very flexible. It doesn't suck on its own, it pumps, so you have to constantly press on the bulb. If you're trying to pump gallons of liquid look elsewhere, but if you're pumping a gallon or two this is for you. How long this will last remains to be seen, but first impressions are that it will be.

While this is good quality rubber and will likely work well, remember that each piece on either side of the pump is only 3 feet long, which is nowhere near long enough to hold gasoline to pump out a car tank. what it was bought for. It doesn't even reach 2/3 of the way. My mistake isn't actually a defect in the product, but it will take several trips to Lowes to find a longer piece of rubber and somehow attach it. You could buy something local with equal success. Lost time.

Attempting to drain water from a broken washing machine. it's WAY too slow. I have a bucket on the floor that I pour water into. There must be a sufficient height difference for the maintenance of the siphon. I can easily start voiding with the suction bulb, but it barely comes out when I stop squeezing. About a gallon every 30 minutes. It's like the valve in the bottle doesn't stay fully open when the water starts to flow into the hose. I hope it comes off over time or ends up in the bin.

Well made for the price. 6 feet long. I just want the hand pump to be offset to one side. I bought this in case I need to pump gas out of one of my cars in an emergency. I'm not sure if 3ft of hose will reach the bottom of my gas tanks. You can't change it because the hoses are clamped. I put it in my first aid kit.
