I gave this tool a low rating not because the Norton stone is a problem, they are great whetstones but because Revain screwed up and should correct the misleading description. The product description on the box lists this stone as a medium grit stone, while the Revain description lists it as a medium grit stone. I bought this sharpening stone to keep the scythe blade clean when I'm hand cutting tall grass. Now I fully understand why it is offered in packs of 9 and so on. This stone wears out quicker than any stone I've had over the years. After just two days of use. maybe 25 minutes of grinding total, this stone is visibly worn and I don't see it lasting the rest of the summer.
