Downgraded to Epic Fail

Some reviewers have complained that their stone isn't flat, but I've had better luck. I've smoothed a rough rock and several fine rocks with equal success. The stone removes a lot of material in twenty passes. One of my whetstones became very bulbous but did the job very well. Like any other product, if it arrives defective, simply return it or exchange it. I personally think this is a worthy product for a stone. Excellent Product - Sharpening Stones

I am a classic car, well into my 60's and a third generation craftsman. My father and grandfather had oil stones, and through my own choice and also through my involvement in the metal trade, I acquired over a dozen different oil stones, some of which suffered from neglect. Great but details matter

My waterstones include 250, 400, 600, 1000, 1000, 1000 and 6000. They have been badly worn from long use. For a first attempt at leveling, this Norton leveling stone has gotten a pretty tough job. The Norton Leveling Stone was fairly flat when delivered. I checked the top and bottom with a ruler - they are very flat.
