I made three of these!

If you're buying a knitting book, try to work within the band. The obsession with pattern sizes and tiny squares keeps others from searching for the best sweaters Scandinavia has to offer. Margareta Finset is trained as a weaver, so her projects will always be a bit more difficult. I would not recommend this book to beginners - and when an inexperienced knitter gets this tome, he will be put off by the thought of fine work (knitting jackets in the round and then cutting your work into pieces)…

Small Charts

The sweaters in this book are some of the prettiest I've seen and are well worth the price. Anyone who likes colorful knitting is well advised to read this book. However, the photos are more landscapes than sweaters. Parts of some sweaters are difficult to see due to the position of the models or the distance from the camera. although I found every sweater I liked had to be changed

This book can be inspirational in terms of the patterns it suggests, although I found every sweater I liked changed had to become. The sweaters were either too short for my liking, or too baggy, or too boxy, or the neckline wasn't what I would have liked, etc. That's fine because I'm an experienced knitter and don't need to exert much effort change the pattern.
