Novus 7136 Plastic Polish Kit Review

This is a wonderful product. So it's not as magical as advertised - it takes a lot of rubbing, and when we think of 'heavy' scratches we think of deep kerfs, not the occasional fine sandpaper scrape! I thought I didn't even need #3 for small scratches on the doll's "glass" eye - wrong! #3 is the way! Because #2 is ONLY for removing ultra-fine scratches caused by #3, while #1 is cleaning fluid only. I'm so glad it's a set of 3 to try otherwise I wouldn't even consider getting the magic number 3.

Just a little is great for heavy scratches and rubbing, but be careful with small scratches! It did a great job on the severe discoloration of my headlight lenses and vinyl window tint. I used a little to clean the dashboard lenses which had small scratches and they scratched the entire lens. I had to do a lot of post-processing to try and restore it to its original clarity. I used this product to polish an epoxy table I just built. I followed the correct procedure for sanding down from 150 grit to 2000 grit. I really want to love this but didn't find it to be the magic bullet of other reviewers. I have a pair of favorite glasses that are no longer made. I used this Novus 3 step plastic polish on a motorcycle windshield after several sources recommended it.
