Disappointing quality

During a recent power outage, a kind neighbor lent me her 10" fan after learning that I only have 6" battery powered fans. I was very grateful and as soon as possible I ordered the same one - same brand, size, description, with an adapter. This is far from the quality of my neighbor's fan, who told me her fan has been there for several years. Apparently things have gotten a little worse since then. This is a lighter plastic and doesn't 'wind' like hers. I will keep it as an emergency fan but if

Low airflow for such a large fan

I expected a lot more from this fan. The fan works and comes with an AC plug. I mostly use the fan next to my bed so it works for what I use it for but sometimes it sucks. It makes a lot of noise and moves almost no air, even on high settings. He pushes the air towards his feet about a meter, and after that it's no good. It cools my head in bed and that's it. The fan blades are tiny and I had to buy a fan with larger blades to push more air out. I was fooled by the amount of good reviews this…

Buyers beware the best in heating, cooling and air quality

This was our second O2 Cool fan. The first was a little smaller, probably 8 inches, and lasted for many years. Eventually the switch broke. So of course we opted for a different O2 Cool fan. We bought this 10 inch model because it was similar in design to our old one. something more that was good. Another difference we noticed was that the name was changed from O2 Cool to Treva. The fan was delivered on 06/07/2020 and died on 07/21/2020. Worked great initially, but within 5-6 weeks the fan…

A great fan when there's no electricity

Let's talk about hurricanes. Last year Irma turned off the electricity for 6 days. It was September in muggy Florida. No ice. No power. There is no cool air. I bought an O2Cool fan YEARS ago (it was really cheap at $7.99 back then) for camping. I pulled it out of the closet and it saved my life! Seriously, saved my life. O2Cool is a great brand and this old fan works SO well. It kept me alive and cool until my power returned. Requires 8 D batteries so make sure you have a spare. Hurricane…

  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it says

The O2 Cool brand used to be the leader in battery powered fans, but this company has seen better days. Over the last ten years I've had about half a dozen O2 Cool fans that I use on my regular hikes. They don't last forever (nothing lasts forever), but the materials, design, and build quality were good enough that I kept buying them. NO LONGER. What used to be a solid little fan is now cheap half-way junk. I could barely run this model on fresh batteries because something in the design…

Terrible fan, good for heating, cooling and air quality

I got this to replace my 4 year old $20 rugged fan that my new friend accidentally broke . This was never a problem and was very good. THIS fan is terrible and I actively hate him. Below the feature score, it asks about the battery life. THIS IS WITHOUT BATTERY! It has a horrible charging connector that sticks out at an odd angle and is detachable, but then again it won't charge or work if it's not plugged in! The ALL reason I needed a new fan was for my bedroom window. This is not good, very…

Essential outdoor fan in most (hot) situations

Ideal for camping, especially when you are near your car. Probably too much to take on a hike; I use it to keep my tent warm when camping at festivals. That's great. Take it out of the tent on hot days and it will help you stay cool day and night. If you are going on a long hike, I would recommend a model with a different battery type (e.g. lithium ion) or a smaller model. Take spare batteries with you. However, I have heard that it can last up to three or four days with continuous use. When…

This is actually my third O2Cool fan, I LOVE them but they seem to be getting more legs and going out every few hunting seasons. More specifically, in a rush to get back to civilization before extremely bad weather sets in, someone forgets to remove the battery fan from the rented bunk and when we return next year it will never be there. These fans have been around for quite some time. A while ago I first found her on Revain. A few things have changed over the years, and there's one annoying…
